We are rubbish at them are we not, never confident when we get one. Who should be on them? Gonna be a time when we get one late on which could win us the game.

    I’m going Palma.

Palma strikes the ball well, why not. So does Turnbull and he should have been confident after already scoring a cracker.

Strange, sometimes there's no explanation for these trends but I also don't feel confident that we're going to score them.

I wonder if other fans feel the same way as we do on this. I cant think of a period in time where I've ever been confident in our designated penalty taker. Juranovic was good , but even then i knew he was missing it against Madrid.
This goes all the way back to time of Henrik- who was also rubbish at them! Was definitely his Achilles heel.

Yeah I can't remember ever being confident when we get a penalty and like you say, even Henrik wasn't great at them either. Just at top of my head, best penalty taker I've seen for us was the holy goalie haha Anyone else walking up ya just have that feeling were going to miss it

Whatever happened to blasting a pen? All the ones we take seem to be tame, weak efforts. At least if some power behind it there's a chance the speed will beat the keeper even if he goes the right way.

Last few have been scuffed into the ground and hardly made the goal line…brutal.

Did Palma not take them at his last club? Seems like he excelled at them. Weird that he's not been on free kicks or pens since he got here when it seems it's one of his specialities.

Was thinking about this again. Wonder who was taken one yesterday had we got one? With No O’Riley, Idah and Palma.

I think it would’ve been Bernardo had we got one before he went off.

With Beaton and Dallas officiating we probably didn't even plan for it..

Aye true. The handball was a stonewaller., Engles and Kuhns ones could’ve been giving too.

If that happened to them even with it actually offside it’s statement and statement :56:

I'd let whoever is playing out of Bernardo and Engels take them, good strikers of the ball.

I think McGregor might be a good shout. If anyone should step up, it's the captain. He can hit the ball from distance, why not from the penalty spot as well?

I would give Luke McCowan a shot at them if he was on the park, was taking them for Dundee

I'm unsure but I think possibly Bernardo could take on the responsibility.

Number 1 is obviously Idah. After that, it’s McCowan for me.

Off the top of my head, he has missed more than he has scored for us in the past, some dreadful misses too.
Our set pieces are pathetic, we are crying out for a set piece coach. We normally hit double figures in most games but offer little threat.

McCowan took them at Dundee and had a pretty good record with them can hit a good penalty

Aye. Pretty sure I wrote my comment before he'd taken any for us. Shows what I know.
