I would of rather seen Commons come on last night.

i thought he may have been given the full 2nd half as game was over at HT but surely over the coming weeks we will see more of him .

 

i thought his movemnt was good last night tbh! never had enough time to really do anything ! but does look the part this early imo

 

I think Lennon was right to put Stokes on before him, as manager he has to show respect first and foremost to the guys who have got us where we are, Brozek must have been watching the goals fly in last night and be thinking how am i going to get in this team!

 

Biggest thing i saw from him last night was work rate , he always went to press the ball any chance he had.

 

That's what I noticed from him aswell, not sure if that's his normal game or he was just eager to impress, but it was nice seeing that from him.

Got back to help defensively a few times and chased the ball down like you said.

 

This. I was impressed with his workout, I wonder if he plays like that all the time or if he was only tracking so far back because he was really eager to impress?.

 

in what little time he had he looked alright but i hope we see more of him soon. as has been mentioned he did press the ball a lot, which i wasn't expecting.

another thing i noticed was when the ball was on the laft hand side, him and stokes ran into the box only about 2 or 3 yards from each other. hooper and stokes are barely ever that close to each other when the ball is out wide as one of them usually goes wide themselves. it just reminded me a little bit of JVoH and McDonald, one trys to win the header and the other is there to feed off the scraps. maybe add another dimension to our play if playing through oppo's defence isnt working.

 

Disappointed he didn't come on today. Thought it was a crazy decision to take Hooper off instead of Sammy.
Brozek or Stokes should have replaced Sammy

 

sammy ended up validating the decision by holding the ball up well and getting one of their defenders sent off.

 

Sammy is the best lone striker we have imo, he's got all the attributes you need to play by yourself, something our other strikers lack.

 

how do you know brozek lacks that?

 

Brozek was never going to get on yesterday, not when we were leading by a one goal margin. Lennon made the right choice replacing Hooper with Ki, as the midfield needed shoring up, with Wanyama moving to centre back to cover for Dan.

Maybe see him next weekend against Hibs.
