Rangers manager Ally McCoist is eyeing up a potential loan move for Polish striker Pawel Brozek

The Ibrox boss wants the 28-year-old to join the Scottish champions on loan from Turkish club Trabzonspor until the end of the season.

However McCoist was quick to pour cold water on suggestions that the hitman will be a replacement for top-scorer Jelavic, insisting that he would like to see both players lead the Rangers attack.

Brozek, who has 30 caps for Poland, will be hoping to command some regular playing time ahead of Euro 2012 should his move to Ibrox become a reality.

The Pole has made just 19 appearances and scored three goals, since signing for Trabzonspor from Wis?a Kraków last year.

McCoist said: "We have touched base with his club in terms of seeing if a deal can be put together. The lad wants to play as it's in his best interests with the Euros just round the corner.

"I haven't been told it is connected to the Jelavic deal, I'm hoping it is not as I fancy the two of them working together but time will tell."

Jelavic, who has scored 14 league goals this season, was the subject of a failed bid from West Ham this week and is a reported target for a host of English clubs.

He has good attacking position, dribbling, finishing

He is a both footed player (naturally left footed)

On Clyde they said its around £1million, so he must be signing.

 

is this on loan or permanently? i would rather of got one of our many other rumoured targets to be honest.

He did have a decent record in poland, he is a gamble, but the polish guys on the forum said he is decent no? You never know how these signings will turn out

 

Never seen the guy so can't really comment. Lenny's signings have been excellent for the most part so I'll have faith in him.

 

How close is this guy to signing? Also no mainstream media is reporting this at all, bbc sky sports etc

this video makes him look good. he seems to be able to score all sorts of types of goals.

 

Forgive me for stating the obvious a bit here, but it's always dangerous judging a player via YouTube videos, as they only show their strengths and nothing more.

I know we've had to do this a lot recently, due to the amount of unknown players that we've signed since Lenny took over, but I'd rather wait and see the guy in action for the Hoops before judging him. He's definitely not the worst option we could have went for (judging by his record at previous clubs) and if he does indeed sign for us, I can see him scoring a good number of goals up here in bonnie Scotland.

 

i know, thats why i said "this video makes him look good", im sure he misses more than he scores but a video of him missing a lot will not get a lot of hits. Still, in the youtube video it is still him that is scoring all those goals, so it at least lets us know that he is capable.

Aye, it does give a good representation though imo

Kayals video before he signed was a great one and showed all the stuff we see him for now, tackling, going past players and passing. Probably the best ive seen where you could tell he was quality.

If you look at Ibrahims ones too I think they represent him well, so far he looks like a Zemmama or Taouil type of player so thats all im expecting he may be better though as they are mostly from when hes 16/17/18 and Taouil and that are obviosly older exerienced players so theres a chance hes improved.

I think you can tell quite well if you look closely.

Huns were thinking Celik looks good but if you watch his you see a poor touch, lack of pace and tendancy to overdo things with trying to look good. To me he looked poor and if it was us I would be thinking "aw naw"

Same as Rasmussens, he looked what he is, a decent scorer but lacked pace and was really an avaerage footballer.

I havent watched any of Brozeks.
