I don't think the board care enough about fans to think that way, and that goes for any club if money comes in.

My opinion is we'll have 4 signings in, Bernardo and Idah being 2 of them. Left back loan and a striker, either as loan or someone never heard of.

 

Aye it’s quality not seeing your team improving on the park whilst sitting in the best financial position we’ve ever been in.

Benfica have finally completed the transfer of Paulo Bernardo to Celtic.

As Maisfutebol had already written , the Scottish club was interested in keeping the player, after the good season he had in Glasgow, so the two parties have been negotiating the permanent transfer for around three weeks .

Now, the deal is finally done. Benfica will receive around three million euros from the sale and will also keep a significant part of Paulo Bernardo's transfer fee, as he will sign a five-year contract with Celtic.

In the next few days, the transfer should become official, after the midfielder completes all the formalities to sign the contract.

Paulo Bernardo is leaving Benfica for good after fourteen seasons at the club, having joined the club when he was just eight years old. The youngster, now 22, was always seen as one of the great promises of the Seixal academy, and was even part of the main squad with Jorge Jesus, Veríssimo and Roger Schmidt, but was unable to live up to expectations.

Not saying he isn't signing, as I think he will, but this transfer has completely destroyed almost any credibility the Portuguese media had.

Now he knows where he will be playing for at least a couple of years I expect him to turn it up a level. If MOR stays (hoping) then I'm pretty happy with the Midfield. Calmac, Iwata, MOR, Bernardo, Hatate and either Holm, Kwon, or Lawal. Not bothered who goes or stays between them 3 tbh

Celtic have finalised a £3.5million deal to sign Portuguese midfielder Paulo Bernardo.


Bernardo, 22, will undergo a medical examination and put pen to paper on a five-year deal.


The Portuguese joined the Parkhead club from Benfica on a one-year loan last summer, complete with a £6million option to buy.

Scoring four goals in 33 appearances, Bernardo played a key role in securing a Premiership and Scottish Cup double


Reluctant to pay the full £6m, Celtic renegotiated a fee of around £3.5m and a 30 per cent sell-on clause with Benfica last week

After a week of haggling over personal terms, the midfielder is now poised to become the first outfield signing of the close season for manager Brendan Rodgers
