He * has a bit about him doesn’t he? Kinda reminds me a bit of pires from arsenal from that video there. Buzzing to see him, Palma and Phillips in action…. Hopefully against Dundee just in time for feyenoord

Aye he looks class in that video, mate. Very Rogic-esque, I think, similar frame, technique, ability to keep it in tight spaces.

Definitely need to give him some time against Dundee so he can at least be on the bench for Feyenoord.

Would be good timing aswell with say Hatate out so we’re not rushing him back to fitness either. When Hatate is back cm could be looking very strong with Mcgregor, O’Riley, Hatate, holm and bernardo….. Iwata and kwon down the pecking order.

Time will tell but he looks rapid over about 15 meters, incredible burst of speed usually into space too. Which would make him faster than Matondo over the same distance and therefore faster than Bolt. Obviously.

Looks good though, good feet, lovely burst of acceleration and doesn't mind the physical battle.

    Could be a good one.

Great news. The more minutes he can get in his legs the better before coming back to us.

Watched the highlights there and he was heavily involved. Great late run into the box and over the shoulder volley off the bar led to the first goal, few nice bits of link up around the box too, quick one twos etc.

    Only Andorra U21s, mind.

Are they playing again next week? Two 90 mins will be lovely.

Post transfer window rage, I am actually fine with our midfield the more I think about it - just need Iwata or Kwon to work out and we'll have more power.

Aye, I'm really happy with options we have just now in midfield.. domestically we should start purring soon...

We do need a DM for Europe though and with not really needing to play with one domestically it's a bit of conundrum, especially when you see the lack of game time Iwata has had, never mind Kwon.

    Seems focused

Paulo Bernardo refused to talk Celtic after his starring role in Portugal under-21s' 3-0 win over Andorra.
The loan signing from Benfica could make his debut for Brendan Rodgers' side against Dundee at the weekend after signing on the dotted line on the final day of the transfer window.

But the 21-year-old wasn't in any mood to open up on the opening chapters in his new life in Scotland.

Asked directly about his move to Glasgow and his team's showing, he showed he's a man of singular focus, refusing to discuss Celtic and demanding the conversation remain on international football.

Bernardo told reporters: "I'm in the selection, the questions have to be from the selection.

"We are Portugal and we always want more. We won 3-0.

"It was a comfortable result, but we can do better. We will try to do better in the next game.”

Yea, it's a difficult one. McGregor is definitely a '6' these days. Debate is over in my mind and he's effectively undroppable. Think we'll go with a deeper double pivot in Europe so we might be less exposed and get away with it. Would like Iwata in there next to him in Europe but needs minutes and don't see him getting them as the single '6' in Scotland.

Reminds me of when the huns had Brahim Hemdani and only played him in Europe never domestically. I'm sure that was the case anyway, could be misremembering.

Starter for Portugal u21 against Belarus u21 (u21 Euro2025 qualifiers). Game just kicked-off.

PORTUGAL: Samuel Soares; Tiago Santos, Tomás Araújo, Renato Veiga and Leonardo Buta; João Neves, Paulo Bernardo, João Marques and Pedro Santos; Fábio Silva and Henrique Araújo (c)

Some interesting players. Samuel Soares and João Neves (18y) are regular starters for Benfica (albeit Samuel will likely lose his spot soon). Fábio Silva has 4 appearances in the Premier League this season. Tiago Santos is a starter for Lille and Renato Veiga is a starter for Basel.

International break came at a good time for him, another 90 mins under his belt and his passing is good. Strolled through the last two games.
