Excellent cameo today. Just what we needed.

He really was a cut above Hatate and O'Riley today. What he done for the goal is what we lacked all game in there - turned their midfielder, drove into space and a powerful shot on target.

It's a no brainer for me at 6m if he wants to be here. He is the Portugal U21 captain and has a lot of potential. £6m is very little in the over inflated transfer market and I'd argue it's good value for money with significant upside too.

He was never going to be * with a name like Paulo Bernardo eh

I'm still unsure about him and I'm not sure why.

    Big contribution though!

Might not be as creative as O'Riley, but he has his physical strength. Creativity could be encouraged and developed.

He’s made a massive contribution against the Huns. Has to be given the benefit of the doubt imo. I was unsure but I’m now at the pay the money no questions asked. Think him & Idah both fall in to that category given their contributions. Game changers & the evidence is clear.

Hopefully we sign him up as he could fill the void if MOR moves on, a young player with a lot of potential and we could double our money quite easily by moving him on in 2 or 3 years time.

I think I just wonder if we can do better with £10million+ than Idah and Bernardo. I'm sold on Idah, Bernardo just hasn't quite showed it consistently for me. He's just okay in alot of games.

I hope we are trying to sign him I really do. So strong, calm and composed. Presses like * too. For a 22 year old who’s not been seeing much minutes the last while to come on in a cup final against the Huns and basically make that chance out of nothing shows what he’s about. Think he’s such a tidy player

Sign him. Not just on today’s performance, he has great feet and is young. Portugal U 21 skipper, must have something. I think we’d be daft not to sign him.

Still unsure as well, but I won't be disappointed if we bring him in.

    Made a huge difference today.

I really hope we sign him, use the funds from O'Riley sale. He'll be the next best player for us, I guarantee it.

Brilliant when he came on, even forgetting his part in the goal. Mopped up in midfield and worked his * off.

I doubt we'll sign him given how little game time he's had the last few months, but for a reasonable fee I'd be happy to see him signed.

Not sure he is worth £6m but did more in minutes than Hatate did in the 60odd he was on.

Still torn. I'd like to see more of him.

I'd pay it, but would want another midfielder in I think.
    Specially if MOR leaves.

We can't go in to the new season with Bernardo, McGregor and hatate as the starting trio, no offence Bernardo, but we need someone already running in that trio.

But I'd sign him and take another Mooy type player in the trio to ease the pressure.

Bernardo and iwata plus the likes of Kelly if he stays would be a reasonable setup for the middle - even more if MOR stays one more year. Then the purchase of Bernardo is ideal for the season after.

Totally agree with everything you said there. He is a young lad too so very much plenty of room for him to improve and grow with us.

I really like him. Big game player, a grafter, good feet and breaks the lines.
