Only just turning 21 so a lot of upside you would think for his game to develop even more. Really hoping we sign him on a long term deal this summer.

Him and O'Riley basically joined at the same age and we've seen how far O'Riley has come since signing. I've gone from thinking it's very unlikely we activate the clause to thinking it's a no-brainer in a couple of months

This is BR main strength, development of (young) players
Confident he'll improve further, the question will be if Paulo wants to stay, not Celtic paying the money.
If he's an absolute stand out rest of season, others will be sniffing and Benfica might want to keep him.
If you remember the Rangers deal with Tillman, wondering if Benfica can contractually renege on the deal?
Hopefully we've got watertight contract.

I am the exact same as yourself. Really hoping we can sign him on a long term deal this summer. Seems like he appreciates and enjoys playing for us too which hopefully will help us get a deal done.

 

You are correct my mistake he just turned 22 this week not 21.

 

Absolutely * buzzing we now get to see his partnership with Matt for the rest of the season. They along with Cal behind them and Kyogo in front of them just about guarantee us the league imo. Stauner for sure.

 

Missed that sitter, but looked the most likely of our mf to make something happen, as MOR was struggling.

 

Personally thought he was very wasteful in the final third. Got into some great positions but he just seemed to always make the wrong decision.

 

He's been a bright spark recently but everyone was poor today.

 

His movement was good, not so much the final product.

 

I'm not in the sign him up camp quite yet he's only really showed it in the past month or so bearing in mind there was a break in that time as well if he can maintain that level for a prolonged period then fair enough

That booking was so tough on him, about a minute before, one of them just hacked down Cal, absolutely no effort to play the ball and nae booking. Palo just leans into the guy and he cannot get the card out quick enough.

 

He has to do so much more to justify the rumoured £5 million price tag. Nowhere near worth that despite of couple of goals.

 

Hatate is a far better player and should be first pick when he comes back.
