Even though it was bizarre, it must be a credit to him that Rodgers seen enough in him to throw him in to all our CL games from the off. No idea what took so long to get a league run though :43:

Looks a player, and the Ledley comparisons are accurate. Maybe not got his leadership but a consistent performer who can chip in with goals and dirty work is a valuable one.

Rodgers played him in CL games and maybe this was in loan deal? Maybe Rodgers has been pushing him and he’s starting to settle. We all used to new players coming in under Ange and hitting ground running. He’s a superb player off the ball too, absolute engine on the kid. If it’s £5M? It has to be a yes on just potential

Well done Brendan Rodgers, again. Lets the boy settle and when the time is right he puts him in. We as fans really overlook how BR knows his players and when the time is right.

In fairness he got launched right Into the champions league games, not bled in against Motherwell and Ross County.

Yep loved that assist. Sign of a player with confidence but also intelligence.

A lot of players we have would have probably been greedy and blasted that.

What’s the buy option? He never looked a bad player but he’s really come to life the last couple of weeks. Sign him up for sure

Starting to see it now, if he keeps it up, will be a no brainer to pay up the fee at the end of the season, whether its 5 or 8M.
This is where the squad needs to be, him Reo and Matt competing for 2 places.

Guys like him should be a no brainer. The type of 'project' we should be all over. Product of one of the top academies in the world, on the cusp of their first team but circumstances see him loaned out. Try before you buy with an option.

I'd take one of him for a potential £5m than 5 players at £1m.

Can see that McGregor and O'Reilly love playing with him. Quality players on the same wavelength and each one isn't shy of grafting.

Mental that giving a run of games shows you what guys can do and gives them a better chance to gel with the team, not play within themselves.

The use of him this season has been weird, judged as the option next to the two automatic guys in MOR and Calmac in the CL. Ignored the rest of the time, until 3/4 games in a row domestically where he’s been brilliant.

Playing him in the CL, trusting him there makes you think he’s shown enough in training for that. So not a case of time to settle.

Things are looking like you’d expect from a Rodgers team now, but * me there’s been some bizarre management this year

Aye, he's really came on last three games, amazing what that goal at Dundee did for him and then to kick on the way he did v The Huns and again last night..

Did a power of work in his CL appearances and didn't look out of place, passing looked good etc.. yet domestically it didn't look like he had an end product..

Delighted to be proved wrong because I didn't really see it with him, I reckon he could play a deeper role if needed too. If he continues £5m may become a bit of a steal at only 21 too.

McGregor, O'Riley, Hatate, Bernardo and Iwata are good options. Holm has shown he has something too, maybe loan him out. Let Turnbull go and sign another CM and we would have quality depth in the middle.

Honestly we were grasping at straws when it was domestically. He’s had 9 SPFL appearances, 4 of them starts the last 4 games with 2 goals 2 assists.

5 appearances before that, very bit part, never a run together. We were never going to be able to get a grasp on what he could do with that. Dundee goal has definitely helped, but a consistent run of games has probably done more.

He must be gutted about the break now.

Aye, the break comes at maybe the wrong time for him, but for me he keeps his place when we return, even with Hatate returning to fitness. It's good to have genuine competition in the middle.. we could even afford to rest Callum a bit more during games, with O'Riley or Bernardo dropping deeper.

His two assists yesterday were top notch and also could’ve had a goal aswell if it wasn’t for a good save from their keeper. So calm and composed he sent one of their defenders to the shops before getting away the strike :giggle1: on top of that even though he’s slow is pressing is always very good every game. Would love to see us make it permanent
