It certainly starts to look like the manager doesn't fancy him for some reason. Bench last 3-4 games I think and McCowan given the nod ahead of him everytime from the bench. Earlier in the season Paulo was getting those minutes or they were both getting on later in games.

 

Bit of a kneejerk reaction there, he had a sore yin, yes he may be able to play but we don’t know about any knock on effects. Might be if we need him he’ll play but if we can afford to give him more recovery time, then we will.

One thing I really don’t think is he doesn’t rate him. He’s shown previously he trusts him, and he knows he will carry out his instructions

 

Looked rusty when introduced, feel we should give him more game time in the last few games of the season.

 

I still really like him. I'd play him more for the rest of the season.

 

Excellent when he came on. He's dropped his levels a few times this season but today was his true level. So good at keeping the ball and extremely clever.

 

Was good. His use of the ball, range of passing, turning his man all there. Def improved us today. One of the better ones despite only playing 30mins.

 

Can see why he's not played much recently as well though, does look rusty and slow when he's playing although technically still really good and tidy on the ball. Just doesn't look like he's moving too well.

What was his injury? was it about 3 month he was out, couldn't have been training much.

 

He was energetic but a few times his first touch took the ball about 20 yards away from him

 

Miles better than engles today. He needs games

 

Don't get why he gets on over McCowan personally. He rarely does that much.

 

Thought he was decent. Needs more minutes.

 

Wins a lot of 2nd balls, physical and actually progressed the play by moving the ball forward.

 

Only midfielder to have a really good game in a derby this season out of 5 games. Says Theres something wrong with our approach to me.

 

I really like him…can’t understand why he does not get more playing time

 

Because he doesn't influence games enough when starting..

 

Because he's inconsistent.

 

Seems like our whole midfield is inconsistent and unbalanced at times..

With KT returning I wonder if Rodgers will revert to 4-2-3-1 at times..

 

Rarely has a bad game, but also doesn't often offer too much other than keeping the game ticking along. Want him to start imposing himself on the game a bit more when given the opportunities. He's shown he's got it in his locker to do so at times.

 

It’s noticeable he always lifts the tempo when he comes on, he should have more playing for me though.

We’ve seen his level at times just needs to stop playing within himself.

On a sidenote he’s the only midfielder that gets fired into duels which sets me off at times.
