Ridiculous decision to take him off as he was our best midfielder.

He’s class. He has to be starting alongside cal in all the big games. Should’ve kept him on longer but took off reo for mccowan earlier for a bit of speed

Good performance again. Dortmund aside, he doesn't look capable of putting in a poor performance. So important for us in Europe.

It was the right decision to start him and it was maybe a mistake to bring him off, but I can see that the fresh legs of McCowan were required and we really needed to change something going forward.

    He's wonderful.

My only bug bearer though is outswinging corners. Hate them.

    Not Paolo's fault though.

I normally like to argue; but I just have to agree 100% with the last dozen (or so) posts.

Wouldn't have taken him off, always looks like he can open teams up.

Think him getting took off was purely he looked slightly tired and protecting him for Sunday…

Played well but thought he looked like he was blowing out his * chasing back when Ralston fouled the guy and got booked so could understand the sub

Didn’t do any more than Hatate from an attacking point of view. Thought he was pretty poor to be honest, like all middle to front were.

Thought his work rate and tackling was good last night. Seems to be maturing as a player and arguably deserves a regular start.

Bernardo for me is our most consistent midfielder at the moment. I thought he was excellent last night and really the only player in the front 6 who I thought put in a good performance. Good passing, excellent pressing and made some great tackles as well. He absolutely should be a nailed on starter for us just now. Excited to see how he develops the rest of this season but at the minute he looks our best bit of summer business.

I was the same. I was astonished he took Benardo off, I thought McGregor could have came off, and that would have left us with an interesting three of Bernado, Engels and McCowan in midfield.

Bernado is my favourite Celtic player this year.

I fancy him to have a big impact at weekend but possibly from the bench.

Should have been given the chance to score when he had the whole right hand side of the box to himself and Hatate fired the ball miles ahead of him. It was a simple through ball to him.

He played well but I agree he looked to tire in the game when taken off. He must start Sunday.

For St Brendan, such talk is treason, herecy, punishable by death - though shalt not taken Calmac off - even if he's having mare
100% agree that Bernardo was last player who should have been subbed - but Brendan has this blindspots, Calmac is one of them, along with Maeda.
