Delighted when we signed him permanently and so happy he has continued to impress. Couldn’t be working for a better manager to develop his undoubted talent.

    I agree.
And I think Brendan feels that way too as well.
We knew after the Cup Final, that we just had to sign both Bernado and Idah. Worth every penny. And of course Engels is making all the difference too.

    He was my MOTM tonight.

  4. The way he sort of glides away from opponents and it isn't even an electric burst of pace, it's a wee shift or touch that just does enough..

Was the same just before Maeda's goal. The ball was brilliant but I liked the wee bit before to make the space for it..

He's shown it in spells last season but aye, he's already proving to be a lot better than I thought he was..

Did think the goals were a matter of time as well as he's always scored peaches for the unders..

Showing us the player we all hoped he'd be. Was unbelievable today, and what a goal!!

I have such a soft spot for Bernardo and so glad to see he’s coming into his own in the middle of the park. He’s cementing his place which is exactly what we need to challenge Hatate.

He is actually brilliant. Amazing how much he's kicked on.

Not sure why anyone didn't want him signed permanently. He's an all rounder in there, just needs to push on a bit and he'll be top class.

  12. Very nice strike today and hoping to see him kick on and take it to another level.

Can't believe there were folk who were ambivalent about signing him on a permanent. Class act.

Absolutely controls it. Holds folk off the ball, control is fantastic, great strike as well.

He lost the ball once against the huns that I can think of that put us under the cosh, but literally that's once I can think of.

He is going to be difficult to keep hold of.

Went up a level this season.

He’s not like for like with MOR, but I think he can get a fair number of goals and assists over the season. And he’s a pressing machine.

    Has to start midweek.

I've been shy about saying it; because I was scared I might be misreading his game and would be made to look daft; but I've been convinced for a while that he will be the backup (and if he stays long enough, also the replacement) for McGregor rather than O'Riley. Tonight has made me confident enough to just say it.

In the meantime and while McGregor is still playing so well that he's the first name on the team sheet, I'm glad Bernardo is versatile enough to play a variety of roles.

    He's Portuguese.

    He's naturally good at football.

It’s not fair if we’re being honest.

They should be made to play with weights attached to them or something.
