Celtic are so good at selling players and having another player slot in

We seen it with dembele then edouard comes in
Likewise edouard goes kyogo comes in
    Jota goes Kuhn arrives
Oriley away and Bernardo slots in

When he's on it he's fantastic, arguably our best player, he gives us so much energy driving forward, and people complain about him misplacing passes but that's because he goes for dangerous ones that others don't so they're not always going to come off, he's great. But like I said it's just injuries and inconsistency holding him back, and that's why he's more likely to be the one who drops out for Engels if he lives up to the hype imo, Hatate picks up another injury he might not walk straight back into the team.

Bernardo is younger than Hatate as well, probably has a higher ceiling, though Hatate still probably has another level in him bit of a late bloomer turning pro so late.

Outstanding performance. One blip when he was robbed early on in the second half from the throw in.

I’ve liked him from the minute I saw him when was subbed on at home against Atletico.

His subtle work off the ball, shutting off of angles and his body positioning is invaluable. The type of player that’ll be heavily appreciated by his team mates.

Takes care of the ball well, and a very mature player for his age.

His signing was a no brainer. A player with virtually no weaknesses. Yes, he’s not unbelievable at anything yet, but he has the base attributes there in every aspect you need to be a top class central midfielder, and he’s only going to get better.

Was outstanding for the hour. Ideal scenario for us now, start Bernardo and integrate Engels.

I just knew this guy would be the signing of the summer. Yes it's very early, but I can just tell. Absolute bargain, I'd have paid full price to get him in sooner but lawells penny pinching seemed to work. Saved us enough to keep his bonus intact :fear:

That's the thing. As much as we'd have loved business done 'cleaner' the board did ultimately save us a chunk of cash by haggling it out. Horse trading is an acquired skill, and our board has it in SPADES. Like you, I think he'll easily justify the original price, but he's a steal at the lower one.

He’s such a rounded midfielder. He totally bossed the game.

For me him and Jota are a prime example of the talent we can pick up from other major European clubs if we are smart and wuick enough about it.

These kinda players will also be kicking about the outskirts of Sporting Lisbon, Porto, Ajax, PSV, PSG etc we all know they are.

Definitely need to try and get at least 1 or 2 of these players every summer.

Seems to have even physically developed since last season. Thought he was quicker and stronger yesterday. Brings goals to his game and he has a massive ceiling.. him running to McGregor from the different angle 3rd goal on YouTube .. lad.must have been itching to get the deal done during the summer

I'd like to see him in McGregor's position, maybe against Falkirk at home in the Cup and then occassionally brought on there as a sub or moved there with McGregor took off just to see him in that role.

He's quality at defending and seems wise to everything round about him, then protects the ball really well and keeps it moving, could do a good job in the deeper role.

I think he's definitely improved a bit, considering there were quite a few games where you wondered what he contributed last season. Much more involved now.

Was class yesterday well apart from where he set up a chance for them lol.

Rodgers has said lots of times now he needs a big squad so will see plenty of playing time even with Engels coming in.

Yep. Gone are the times when we replaced Hooper with Miku (?) and the likes. We never hit before after selling a good player, now we rarely miss.

We can and have rights to be grumpy with the board, but the club is ran by professionals, that is clear to see. We are in a very, very good place.

We are now witnessing what we have craved for since the hun died. Celtic switching into 2nd gear.

Was a man possessed yesterday - fantastic work rate and his use of the ball is always very impressive but everything he did had a purpose about it.

    Great performance.
