I've asked the doctor to prove his worth by curing me of a big problem, 300 boxes of unsold Luis Palma t-shirts.

Get down the Forge before the game on Saturday if you're interested. Tell them Pedro sent you they'll give you a discount.

I'm not convinced this is the right guy, I've said before we should be looking at headhunting people doing a similar role at a reasonable sized clubs in Europe to get the process started. But I'm willing to give him a fair crack at it, and hopefully he drags the club kicking and screaming into the modern era of well run football operations, like a Brighton.

Guy comes across as an absolute charlatan. Reeks of someone Desmond met playing golf. Happy to be proved wrong but hard to imagine we were beating off competition from the Salzburg and Feyenoords of this world for his signature.

    His CV says otherwise.

Positive appointment and a step in the right direction from the club. Couldn't care less whether the guy is an eccentric throbber if he does a good job. Let's see how he gets on.

Initially both look a talent and if he was involved heavily and continues in that train, then brilliant.

However, there is also Trusty, who doesn't look too great just yet.

The point being, we need more time and examples before we get carried away either way.

I'm happy that a decent position has been created and filled. Let's see if it's the right man for the job and if the job is allowed to be done properly.

His CV says he's a moderately successful English lower league manager. His interviews suggest he has a narcissistic personality complex.

I'd rather have had someone with a better CV come in as Director of Football. Head of football operations won't have as much clout as a Director.

im far more positive about this appointment than lawwell jr .a fresh set of eyes on what improvements could be made is surely a good thing .if he is allowed to implement any changes may be the sticking point .i think all thoes hats are quite boring ,he could do so much better

So, not a charlatan then. Glad we cleared that up.

We're taking about his suitability for a DOF role at a champions league club, not the manager's gig at a mid-table league one club.

Anyway, we both want the same thing so let's hope he's a roaring success and the best man for the job.

Think we're likely to see quite a lot of this guy. He seems like the type that likes to do media interviews. Nicholson does not.

His managerial/coaching career was a decent foundation.

His current knowledge of the game and the fact current Premier League sides have used him as an adviser is more relevant though.

This is a massive role for him too and when you listen to him, he's absolutely driven to be a success. So hopefully that benefits us, whilst he's here.

Well vast experience within football won't hurt. He's very into data and analytics with regards to recruitment too, so hopefully that helps.

Not that it really matter how the * he dresses, but sometimes I think you can't win with our fans at times - if he was a boring vanilla * like Nicholson et al he'd be getting labelled a yes man and board crony.

If he gets us moving in a better direction then he could be dressed up as big bird from Sesame Street and I wouldn't care.
