Ach lad...Pep * you. If reports where true we could have had him signed permanently but supposed Pep vetoed.

Good luck to him and seems he's found a space now to start a new.

If he wanted to leave I'm sure he could have.

This very true, rumours were that we offered the amount to buy Roberts, but Pep vetoed it.

There’s wanting to leave and then one of the greatest managers ever saying you have a chance here don’t do it.

He was never getting a chance at City and he knew it. He chose money.

He could’ve signed here permanently if he really wanted to.

Speaks well of his time here and I'd say a genuine affinity. Good to hear.

In all honesty he was struggling to play that last season. Was dubious at the time whether our move for him was merited. Still hope he goes to have a better career/luck as it's been pretty much downhill for him since he left.

Top bloke, very talented and clearly loves Celtic.

Wish him well for the future.

Apparently played well against the huns yesterday; in the first half (the second half was abandoned) Just cant understand his thinking in leaving Celtic; badly advised by agents perhaps - instead of playing for a huge club like Celtic while winning trophies and playing in the Champions League he's clowning around playing for sub-standard English clubs; just makes no sense - A complete waste of a great talent; sad to see

He was on a massive contract with City and huge wages he was never signing permanently for us. He also had a poor second loan spell

Probably felt as if he done all he could here and if he was to progress, he maybe had to try out in a better standard of league. He wasn’t actually in the team much during his second stint. Forrest was rampant that second season. Incredible at times. However, I’d have liked to have seen him stay.

No harm done from our perspective. Sad to see for the player but hopefully kicks on in the championship and performs to the level we know he can. Punting him on loan to foreign clubs really * him in my opinion.

Glad he's doing OK now but saw Sunderland's joint top scorers are Ross Stewart, Ahmed Diallo and Elis Simms.

Not many know this but Patrick Roberts keeps a bunch of emus in his living room, he's tried to train them to be like guard dogs but they're hopeless and were easily distracted when the burglars threw them sausages.
