He has a warm spot in my residual hippocampus, a lovely lad who done his bit.

    * having him back though, the boat has truly sailed

Sorry I meant to say if he recaptures his form then he could be better than any winger we have currently, I also don’t see why he couldn’t play on the left wing as well

    He wouldn’t though.

Forrest was better than him back then and is an even better player now.

Their is no doubt he has declined since leaving us that's for sure. That being said, a years contract with an option to trigger a second year, that would be smart business. If we for him back to anywhere near his best its a bargain in the waiting. If we can't then we had him for a year and it didn't work out.

Certainly add to the depth we are after that's for sure.

What have we got to loose. Mikey Johnson is a liability and Forrest is not always on his game. Who knows, he might even persuade his best mate KT to leave his * Arsenal team to come back up the road to join him.

You'd think he'd get game time there and impress enough for another ligue 1 team to take a punt next summer.

Genuinely think if he stayed with us, he'd have been a star that went on to a decent EPL team.

Completely wasted. Reminds me of Hooper. Should've stayed at Celtic longer than he did.

He was incredible at the tail end of the invincible season. I was desperate for him to sign permanently. Got an injury the next and lost his way after that.

How's he getting on with Troyes?

Players like him get absolutely used as a commodity. Bought with virtually zero intention to ever play, just rented out until the market value peaks. He might as well be a flat in the west end.

He really needed to come here permanently. He’s a bit like Rogic, if you ask him to graft in a lesser team he’s going to struggle to make an impact. Likewise he’s not good enough to go to a team like Barca etc.

Celtic would’ve been the perfect place. Lots of possession to try and make an impact.

They paid £10m for him, they must have seen him as more than just some cheap punt.
See he is having another dud season. 2 games and only 1 start in a cup match. Can't even get in the team for a relegation scrap team.
I'm curious where he ends up at the end of the season.

I still wouldn’t mind him in our squad, I could just be using nostalgia to cloud my judgement however

Making mistakes going to struggling teams. He's a luxury and will be the first person benched for a scrap.

Made a mistake signing contract renewals with City too when he must have known he was never making it. Alot of money to turn down though

They just paid £100m for a guy who now sits on the bench. 10m is a cheap punt.

    25 in February.

Loved the guy when here, would still take him back, but he's surely * his career now?

Money, sure he's a millionaire on the back of two contracts with city - but just ask Sinclair what that really brings you.

Roberts has dicked around at relegation clubs and struggling to get game time.
Hooper struggled at Norwich when he left us, picked the wrong team to try and impress at. Attacking options like those (with little defence ability) are always dropped when teams are on the back foot (again ask Sinclair) and you spend the majority of games not doing the one thing you enjoy.

For me, 25 is too old to see him as a project and the fear is he has barely kicked a ball for the last 3 seasons.

If he came back to us, he would need a season just to get back in to the rhythm of playing regular football.

Forrest has a few more years in him, Abada is more direct, Dembele more exciting...
