Ralston’s the GOAT but, unfair comparison.

 

3 weeks ago Ralston was the worst player to ever pull on a Celtic jersey, now he’s being used as a comparison to reject a player that’s struggled for form.

I don’t know how that works. If anything Ralston doing well recently shows a player can completely turn it around given the right circumstances.

The question for me with Roberts is how much that injury he got at us has affected him. If he’s lost that extra bit of agility then he won’t be able to do it for us.

Apart from that, when you look at the clubs he’s been landed with you can see why he’s struggled seeing as they’ve all been relegation fodder. He’s hardly the type that will do well in those circumstances.

If you gamble that the talent is still there and he’s been unlucky getting farmed out to * championship clubs there could be a top player for basically free.

 

We have got Abada, Forrest and Dembele for right wing, don’t need another.

 

Ones been out for a season and picked up a few knocks, other is out of contract end of the season and currently is injured with no return date given.

I’d take him on a years contract and see where he’s at. Good wee player on his day and we need bodies in.

 

We have more important positions to look at just now !! How much football has Roberts even played in the last few seasons

 

I would hope we are capable of focusing on getting more than one guy in at a time

 

Yeah, so would I but don’t think another right winger is a priority. A striker, left winger, left back and centre half are all needed before that

 

So if a good opportunity comes up for us, that fits our system, you would ignore it until those positions are filled?

 

I don’t think that this is a good opportunity for us !!

That’s a better reason that’s a good reason, think we’ve been used to not being able to be sensible in our transfer policy that we accept the lackadaisical approach. We should be able to juggle a good few transfers at a time without any issues.

I would like it to happen, if he recaptures his form then he’s better than any winger we have currently. That’s a huge IF though

 

Forrest was better than him when he was here.

And he’s only gotten worse and Forrest has gotten better.


To say he’s better than any winger we have is quite frankly, bullshit.
