Unusually for me , I'll be driving to the game on Sunday from the West of Glasgow ( Erskine ) and would appreciate any tips/advice for finding somewhere convenient/safe to park . I'll be heading back West after the game too . Thanks in advance for any information from my fellow Talk Celtic forum members .

I usually park in a residential street in Tollcross then just jump on the bus along to the stadium. Some folk park where the big Tesco used to be, you might get a parking ticket but ignore them.

Half hour walk or 5 mins on the bus. Easy decision. ;)

That's exactly what I did, an afterthought was that we probably could have parked in the grounds but I cant say for a guarantee. So I'm on the bus and i'm taking in all my surroundings, 'no loitering' and the tollcross kid has a certain hairstyle that suits them. @strike twice We stayed at the Fullerton hotel and they have a car park and Celtic pub you can have a pint and chat before the short bus journey

I live in the east end m8 and I can assure that the Fullerton isn't really a Celtic friendly pub. Its ok if you fancy a wee bit of lunch before the game but the clientele is mostly huns and that ICF top guy Sandy Chugg used to drink there frequently. I would suggest the Waverly pub is a better pub to go to before the game. It's just a short walk up from the Fullerton (towards Parkhead) on the opposite of the road.

I suppose if you're only going into the Fullerton pre - match for a couple of beers and perhaps having some food then it should be fine but I wouldn't hang about post match. Mind you, you can always not wear any colours

Drove over from Belfast last year, parked in Society Street, 5 minute walk to the ground.

If I'm not having a beer and take the car I usually park at the Forge (if you are early enough a find a space) and go to the wee Turkish cafe upstairs for a full fry up breakfast. You're only supposed to park for a max 2hrs but I've never been pulled up for it yet and if there were any guys hanging around the car park with high size yellow jackets then just hide your scarf and say you were doing your shopping

Thanks to all for your information . But on this occasion I will not be having a drink . I will aim to be near the ground between 1.30 and 1.45 , and park accordingly . Once again , thanks .
