Even if he was the best manager in the world, the fascist * isn't welcome anywhere near Celtic Park.
He was a terrific player for us but he stands for everything I hate.

He's a fascist * and has no place at Celtic. If he got the job or was even considered then I would be * off.

Would never want to see it happen, he was a great player and although politics shouldn't matter when it comes to facists it matters.

One of my favourite players of all time, but if was to manage us I fear I would harm myself.

Noone should be booing anybody on Sunday no matter who it is.

It's a day for Tommy Burns and his family.

All other stuff can go out the window for a couple of hours surely. I don't agree with the guys views either but he is going to be there on Sunday as a mark of respect to Tommy. Who are we to say who should and shouldn't be on that pitch.

Get a grip guys. He has different views to you! Big deal. Doesnt mean that uz r rite and he is wrong does it?

If any one boos on Sunday then they need to take a long hard look at himself. This was a guy who had the same beliefs when he was at Celtic. It didnt make him a better or worse player now did it?

Youre right timthebhoy1 but one think is very interesting why he dont show the fascist hand in the game when he was playing at Celtic? In my eyes he is a liar!!! Give on google Di Canio and you will see the true face of this man :54:

The fact is he is a Lazio supporter and they have alot of fascists in there support but all the guy done was make a gesture to his own supporters, whether it was fascist or not, hes no a murderer. I don't agree with his views but I think that there is an over reaction to what was nothing really serious.

If he comes and plays in Tommy's Tribute game then he has to be respected for turning out for Tommy and it shows how much Tommy meant to him.

I think people are just too politically correct, if he actually was a racist or had caused a riot or had been violent towards people then we could call him scum, ect, but I don't think hes guilty of any that and I don't think hes the type that realises the consequences of his actions, he has always made his own life difficult by being ruled by his emotions.

There is no doubt he would have been signed by Man Utd if he wasn't such a loose cannon. I remember Alex Ferguson was rumoured to have wanted him.

I'm sorry but it does mate. Anyone who is covered in fascist tatoos, gives * salutes & is very popular with the far right wing supporters of Lazio goes against everything our club stands for. Surely?!

I worshipped Paolo when he played for the hoops, but I hope he is never employed by Celtic again.

Hope he goes alright on sunday tho, the day is all for Tommy... someone who will always make me proud to be tim :celt_2:

I agree, don't want him as manager either, now or in the future, but
I'm just worried a section of the support start giving him abuse when its Tommy's match.

I thought this is a talk celtic forum?
Di canio was a Celtic player under Tommy Burns and deserves to be playing.
Keep the talks of fascism for the wee gang of political warriors on the GB site please.
    Hail Hail.
Celtic is a football club not a political party.
