So if I decide that, as a fallible human being who has himself done things that have caused harm through my ignorance, I don't feel in a position to judge another fallible human being who has been exposed to constant propaganda since childhood (and under strong ideological pressure from family and friends) for expressing support for his friends and loved ones in the IDF, I can't deplore the IDF as an organisation, condemn the actions Israel so often takes and wish to express solidarity with the suffering Palestinian people?

Happens quite a lot, tensions will be running high so hopefully the pigs don't try to steam in and provoke a reaction from the support.

We can't let the panty wetters stop us from sticking to our principles and standing up for what is right. Hope the stadium is filled with Palestine flags, it would be brilliant to see.

The guy is cheering on kids being slaughtered. There are Israelis right now who are opposed to what's happening. I am British but i choose not to cheer on the British army killing innocent civilians. Biton can do the same, he's a grown man with a fully functioning brain.

I'm not saying you can't condemn him just because I don't, feel free. I'm pointing out the obvious fact that they are two seperate issues and that I don't have to share your condemnation of Biton to condemn Israel's actions and feel for the Paletinian people. I also concur with Vert (if I understood him right) that the latter issue (the actions of Israel and the suffering of the Palestinian people) is far more important and would add that IMO using a Palestinian flag to have a dig at Biton would be quite an unhelpful and immature way to express disapproval of Biton's views, given the much bigger issues that flag represents.

My position is, first and foremost it is about the people of Gaza and the suffering of the Palestinian people but there are Zionists involved with Celtic, there are bigger ones at the club than Biton and we are all within our rights to tell them to tell them where to go.

Anyone know where you'd buy one in Edinburgh if they're not being sold outside the ground?

That's different though, anyone arrested for carrying a flag at the game will be arrested under the OBF act. Only applies to football matches. Doubt it will happen, surely the police have at least a bit of common sense?

I have no issue with people taking a flag in support of the palestinian people but to take one purely to have a dig at Biton is very childish in my opinion. The lad is a proud Israeli as much as I am a proud Scot, if Scottish soldiers were on a campaign somewhere I'd pray for their safety also.

There were Palestinian flags at the Donegal Monaghan game on Sunday. A poster here has said there was also Palestinian flags at the Dublin Meath game. Yet to the best of my knowledge their were no Zionists playing for any of these teams. I believe any Biton protest should not detract from our main goal solidarity, with the Palestinian people.

I am sure that the sight of many Palestinian flags should make Biton aware of our feelings as regards this issue.

No matter what they were doing? Just about sums up everything that's wrong with the world.

Did they arrest the thousands of people marching in glasgow at the weekend with flags?

    No.

There would be a massive outcry outwith the football community if this was true, especially the way things are just now.

I would urge all who wish to bring a flag to bring one.

Also I think it would be childish to think that any pro Palestinian display is merely to * off Biton (he's entitled to his views, though I venomously disagree with them).
This is about showing solidarity with one of the biggest injustices in history which is tolerated by modern day governments.

All I'm hoping for is a peaceful show of condemnation among the Celtic support.

Fans should by all means bring Palestine flags to the game tomorrow, anything to help highlight the genocide in Palestine is a good thing. But to bring them to have a go at Biton is ridiculous. The guy is an Israeli who has been indoctrinated since birth concerning Israel, their actions and their war with Palestine. It would be expecting a miracle to expect him to think any other way.

It was in very recent history terrible atrocities in the launderies and other similar institutions, including the deaths of children, were happening in Ireland, all made possible because of the way people were indoctrinated by religion since birth and the effect that had on society. I do not blame Biton for supporting Israel because his ability for free thinking on this matter has largely been removed.

Support Palestine and condemn Israel, but do not warp that act into a vendetta against an individual who supports an army in which hi family fights and he has been brought up his whole life to support

I don't think anyone would bring them just to have a go at Biton, it's just a chance to show our support for the the innocent dying in Gaza at the hands of fascists. If Biton thinks it's having a go at him then he needs his head checked. Although I'm pretty sure he'll be well aware of Celtic fans political stance in regards to Israel.

Has anyone actually said they're taking a Palestine flag just to annoy Biton?
