Paddy must play every week!

Although he had a great game when he came on today i still dont think he should start every week as he cant last the 90mins but when he does come on as a sub when needed i would give him the full 2nd half to work his magic and not the last 10 or 15 mins that he has been getting recently luckily today he got around 30mins and he picked up the pace of the game straight away and was the catalyst for our comeback to get a victory today every time he got the ball you expected something to happen and it usually did.

 

Lets just hope we can keep him, he only has 1 year left on his contract. Not sure if he is happy playing a bit part player. At the end of the day he is a pro and wants to play. I for one hope he stays.

I'd like to see him start against Hibs.

If he tires we can take him off, but hopefully the damage wil be done by then.

This business of leaving it 2nd half to really get at them is doing my nut.

 

I dont think that he could play for 90 mins but I think that he should feature in most games. He certainly offers something different!

 

I'd agree. He should get 20-25 mins in most games for now.

Next time were getting stuffed in the first half by a team with the 2nd worst defensive record in the SPL and have had a man sent off at the start of the second half we should bring him on to fire us to victory.

 

I've yet to see him give a poor performance when he's been on the pitch.

People keep saying he wont last the 90 minutes, we'll never know unless he gets a chance.

 

mccourt has got great potential after his performance today and some others earlier on in the season i think it's time for him to get a start more often, he is great at dribbling past players he makes it look very easy and has got a great shot on him aswell

 

For me he should either start and come off just after halftime, or come on late like he did today - he doesn't offer enough definsively but when we are all over the opposition trying to break them down, that's when he will do the damage.

 

Thats 3 goals and a thunderbolt off the bar vs hearts. He must have the best goals to minutes played ratio in the team.

Think about this.....Crosas in the middle about to pass. Aiden on one wing, Paddy on the other. Who do you want to see get the ball?........

 

Paddy of course because he can provide some very very special moments, but can he provide these for 90 minutes, I think not. Fantastic super-sub, not sure he would ever be more than that.

Paddy ins an impact player and we should all be lucky that a man can come of the bench and for 30 odd mins provide us with the stuff he did.

If he can prove that he can do the for 90 min the he should start but im happy for him to try and prove it over 30 min for now cause when he trys he is sh*t hot !!!

 

Like most people have said he should be an impact sub until he can prove he can do it for 90min.
He did play very well toady when he came on and yet another cracking goal.

 

for me, he is the best impact player we have..i would prefer if he started, did his stuff, then went off after 60-65 mins, hopefully in that time, he will have helped us score a couple of goals..it's asking a bit much of him to singlehandedly turn a game on its head with only 20 minutes left of the game..he was brilliant today mind..and what a goal!!

 

If he could do it for 90 minutes he wouldnt be here.

 

Pick of the goals, always dangerous and seems to be improving. Shocked but glad to see him chasing back and putting a couple of tackles in.

He needs to up his fitness and add defensive/off the ball duties to his game if he wants to go from a bit part sub to a first team regular.

 

Surely we've been working on this for a while. Does he not have some chronic back problem to?
