You're probably correct. He would have fitted well into an era when fitness, speed, strength and tactical nous wasn't anywhere near the level required that it is today!

I think a apt term for Paddy would be flawed genius.
Was not really given a chance to show his true worth at this club.

Is that just the 100th time you've repeated something like that in this thread alone?

I never called him a flawed genius before.
But i have come to the conclusion that is indeed what he is.

I'm not saying he's a better player than Jimmy Johnstone was but...

And played Scott Brown at left back :smiley-laughing002:. I'll never forget that, Robbie Keane's debut. Mowbray really had not a clue.

By the end of the St Mirren game that ended his career McGeady was the goalkeeper I think

Twitter is the * biggest waste of time in the last 10years.
If you are Lennon then it has some use letting other know something but for the average person its a * joke.
We now have 194 pages because of some guy tweeted YNWA for * sake.:31::31::31:

My enduring memory of his time as manager will just be that wide-eyed look on his face. one of total cluelesness and an impending sense of failure. every post match interview it just got worse and worse.

Gutted though becuase I genuinely had high hopes for him. Loved him as a player.

    Absolute tash manager

My lasting memory is him looking totally dejected with his hands on his head, don't think he even had much hope himself.

Lennon was exactly what this club needed.

I remember one of the games (might have been St/Midden 4-0), Mowbray just looking absolutely clueless standing against the dugout sneaking sweeties out of his pocket like a wee lost boy.

I too had massive hopes for Mowbray - could his "long term plan" have worked? Who knows. Couldn't afford to let him go any further.

That picture must be from the St Mirren game.

I seriously nearly put my foot through the telly that night, screaming at him to * look up and do something about this.

What a horrible night that was, still, we got Lenny out of the mess so...

The Mowbray moment when he lost my faith was when Kyle Lafferty made a disgusting tackle on Andy Hinkel and he turned away and winced, didn't say a word against it.

Can anyone imagine Neil Lennon doing that?
