what is it with some fans and McCourt? seriously? 'Lennon love-in' (whatever the * that is) because he isn't playing one player? you epitomise these fans that put McCourt before Celtic.

if an Irish team, or any team for that matter, wants to take McCourt off then get out the cheque book.

Lennon has done a lot more for this club as a player and a manager than McCourt. get your priorities in order, pal.

Our team has been playing fantastically well in this winning run, no one deserves to be dropped in order for McCourt to come in. Personally, I wish we had sold him when the offer from Blackpool came in. Really not a fan of the "legend" status he has with a large section of our support.

My friend..I was following Celtic long before Lennon or Paddy arrived..the guy has not got a fair crack of the whip in comparison to other players who Lennon regularly plays..that is my gripe.I know the guy has the talent.
On lennon doing more for the club than mccourt...whats that supposed to mean..

you feel McCourt has been hard done by. it's simple. he just isn't the player you perceive him to be.

fair crack of the whip? he's been here for four years! if you want him in the team ahead of those who have deserved to play and who have put us into first place, you're off your fecking rocker. the players who regularly play under Lennon fecking deserve to. they put us top of the league ffs!

the guy has talent but i don't think it's enough to see him get regular time here. i see people harp on about how great he is. if he was as great as some would tell you, he'd be getting more game time. in fact the way people talk about him, you'd think we'd have someone who can rival Messi. someone has actually said he can only do things that Messi can :56: Don't make me laugh.

completely overrated player. the fact that some view him as a world beater makes me want to see him out the door so i don't have to put up with this bollocks any more. he's a squad player at best.

you've said 'Lennon must hate him', which is completely ludicrous to suggest. in fact, it's a fecking childish response to avert your sight on what professionals in the game see. nowadays he's lucky to make the bench and the only conclusion you can fathom is "ohh Lennon disnae like him, it's the only reason". no it's not. look past that redundant excuse.

the last bit? how can you not understand it? McCourt has 48 appearances for the club and has a cult status for reasons i cannot understand. you can't compare him to a Celtic legend that captained the club, has 214 games under his belt during 7 years of service, manages the club for a further 100 games and has umpteen medals in his cabinet as a result and was part of the team to reach our first European final for decades. you took a swipe of me being apart of the 'Lennon love-in', whatever that is. hypocritical to claim that i've sided with Lennon's choices when your blindly suggesting it's Lennon's fault McCourt isn't getting a game. McCourt isn't getting a game because there's better players at the club.

this is no attack on McCourt as some will suggest afterwards. they'll highlight which bits they think are atrocities towards McCourt and the human race. it's a condemnation of those who continue to * and moan about McCourt's position at the club.

he is a bench player at best and if he doesn't like it, he can lump it. it's the same as me saying that the best Zaluska can hope for is being number two. for some strange reason the former statement would cause more uproar than the latter. odd that.

No need to read them if you find them so upsetting.

If this is indeed his last season, i would love to see him a bit more at Celtic Park since the league is effectively over. He is really the type of player (maybe not class, but type) that you always want to watch, especially in the green and white hoops.

He plays the Glasgow Celtic Way:celt_2:

I hope we play Paddy a few more times this season, he scores 3 more wonder goals, gets a 3 million pound move in the summer to somewhere decent on the continent where he can get sun and some more time and space to play his football.

That would be a win/win situation for everyone.

I'm a fan of McCourt, but not like some here. I like his footwork, I like that he so obviously loves the club. However, I agree with all the criticisms too.

With that said, I'd like to see him play a few league games. With a 14 point lead, we can afford to play him for 60 minutes against the weakest teams. I'd love to see him score a few goals and either commit to the club or make a move elsewhere in the summer.
