think he is better off used as a impact player late on where a game is more stretched & defenders tire as his quick feet will turn defenders inside out but at the start of the game opponents are well organised and they are more likely to double up on him

Part of me wishes he had gone to Blackpool. Better that than not getting a game in the SPL. He deserves to be more than Celtic's best-kept secret and I coulld just imagine him tearing up the wings in the Premier League.

I think that would be a fair comment to make if McCourt had been given a run of games and hadn't done the business. At this point in time he has never been given a run of starts so we don't actually know if he'd be better starting matches than he is off the bench.

There's only one way to find that out................

Paddy deserves a start at the weekend, his contribution on Sunday was vital.

I think it would be a real shame if Paddy was to move to another club. He is a great guy to have in the squad and one of the few true entertainers in the SPL. You've always got a chance of scoring with him on the pitch.

If you look at Celtic, there's a reason that we always get late goals, that we're still playing at the same standard by the end of the match as the start. Our fitness levels are simply far higher than other SPL clubs.

So fans should be able to dictate/influence team selections? Not a chance.

Also McCourts fitness levels and injury problems have been well documented over the last He can last 90 minutes but thats if he's given exemption from tracking back and doing defensive work. Anyone can last 90 minutes if they dont have to graft. We might get away with that carry on in the SPL but not a chance in Europe.

You're blaming the fitness coaches? Id blame Boruc and his attitude.

Sky Sports | Football | Serie A | News | Boruc was a lazy Bhoy

    Paddy: Class ?

Thought I had fell into Paddy's facebook page. What's all the fuss? He can crooss a ball, he can worry defenders, he can score a very good goal.

He cannot last 90 mi nutes. He has no pace. He has not done enough to convince 3 managrs otherwise.

They cannot all be wrong and we cannot all be right. But c'mon folks, if he goes or stays would he or will he be the critical factor in winning the league ?
    Me thinks not.

He was the critical factor in us getting three points at the weekend.

Also manufactured the only goal of the game against ICT from nothing.

TBH, I think he's exactly the sort of player who could end up making the crucial difference.

    :50::50:

He changed the game against st johnstone when he came on and we were losing, set up 2, played a part in one and scored one.

Scores great goals when nothing else is working.

We wouldnt make much on him, so whats the point in selling him? We may as well keep a player of his ability, but he derserves more playing time.

An International trademark Paddy wondergoal would be great, but hopefully him and McGinn dont get too tired, I think both should see significant time against Dundee Utd. :50:

It's great game-time for both McCourt and McGinn. We'll see if McCourt's fitness problems are an urban myth if he doesn't get subbed too early to tell.
