Not really, he's more of an off the main striker who can play out wide as well.
If we got him it would be so we can try to move to a more fluent style of play.

Is the guy really only 5 ft 4?

Considering Forrest is tiny and he's supposedly 5 ft 9, will we even be able to see Piatti on the pitch? :smiley-laughing002:

FM/CM legend back in the day, cracking wee player and strong for his size. Could be an awesome signing but I feel we are just being thrown in there to make headlines.

Its not a way of thinking, its just the truth!! Some leagues suit certain players. I'd love to have Piatti come here and be wonderful for us because i have always really liked him as a player but the reality is he would get broke up time after time and Piatti doesnt like a pyschical game.

If you can get a player like this for under £2million, it could be an incredible deal.
Plays a number of positions, LW, RW, AM & CF. Wee guys like this can turn players inside out. What you get is someone with great technique, energy and vision.

He'll have some weaknesses, but wee guys, you want them to push for the striking position, starting off out wide. We have enough big players to offer him protection, but you just have to be wary of what challenges you go in for and what you avoid. Simple solution is to get the ball and play it.

He's had a tough time last season. Picked up an injury early on and never got the form going. In Scotland it will be a lot easier for him and good performances can get him back on form. He looks like an exciting player who'd be fun to watch.

It depends where you play him and how he's deployed. If he gets kicked it's a yellow card.
That's really something we can work on. 6 months on the weights can help to be a bit more physical, but that's not his game.

Maybe it works for him as a striker in Scotland, but he could also be given a free role in the space between the strikers and the forwards. If he plays central he's less likely to get clobbered and i think he could play inside, outside right or left.

It'll be like driving range practice for Balde, he'll just get the driver oot and launch him 350 yards doon the fairway

was about to post something similar myself. you could also look at giaccherini or giovinco at juventus - 2 dimunitive players, playing for the top team in a notoriously physical league, and playing well. size is becoming less and less important these days. ok, its sometimes a disadvantage, but intelligent footballers can always compensate for this.

    oh....and almost forgot....zola!

To be fair, Moravcik was 5'8, 4 inches bigger and never shird away from the physical elements of football as well as being an utter genius.

Saying that, I would have no worries about this boy playing for us.

Zola and Giovinco is an excellent example, what you have said is exactly what I think. If he is quick and tricky enough, there should be no need for him to be involved physically.

Larsson was not the tallest either, nor the most psychical.

Ah, was he? I thought he was smaller than that, my mistake.

    How tall was Larsson?

Henrik was 5'10 made every single inch of that count in the air.

I agree with you by the way, with his ability he doesn't need the physical side of the game.
