He might be slightly out of our reach. But if the big 4 don't want him which they appear not to a move to us could help him even if we were a stepping stone.

its not that they dont care about money but they just dont sell players for the money purpose only, this guy had other chances to go to europe before and other teams here in mexico too but they did not sell till he is ready and thats why i keep saying that more likely he will come to celtic other than a big english team

Would love this to happen and feel this is the type of quality that should be at a club of Celtic's Size and stature! BUT in the reality that is life this isnt FM, this is the spl and i feel he will go to a spanish club that will offer 1st team football and more money!! Hope im wrong tho!!!

Lazio may have problems if they have other targets from non EU countries in mind.

The Italian football federation (FIGC) has limited the number of non-EU players Italian clubs can sign to one per season.

The move, which comes in the wake of the Italian national team's disappointing World Cup, has been met with widespread disapproval among clubs.
"The reduction was approved by the federation board with Serie A voting against," Serie A president Maurizio Beretta told the new Serie A website. "The decision leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and does not resolve Italian soccer's problems."
The Lega Calcio, which protects the interest of Serie A clubs, is also against the change. "The Lega doesn't want to reduce the number from two to one," Sergio Campana, the President of the Italian Footballers' Association, said. "We need to start a policy that limits the foreigners and values the academies. The reduction from two to one has been passed by the Federal Counsel even though the Lega wasn't agreed."
Lazio president Claudio Lotito believes it is unfair to bring in the rule for next season as it jeopardises pre-existing transfer plans.
"This decision penalises some Serie A clubs who had table bids that now cannot be concluded," Lotito said. "Perhaps it was better to postpone the decision until the next transfer window. This solution will not resolve all of Italian football's problems, but now is not the moment to make trials."
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini said: "This was the dumbest thing they could've done. Those who imposed the rules are incompetent and should be sent packing.
"When you change the regulations halfway through, it shows that you are incompetent. Instead of sorting things out, we just make things worse.
"It's not as if we lost at the World Cup because club sides had two non-EU players instead of one. Whoever thought this up should be ashamed of themselves."

we all must face facts now! most of these transfer targets are not going to happen we are just a big name any up and coming footballer will latch on to for a bit of publicity!! same as the older players in the game. celtic should be looking slightly more closre to home !!

He doesn't... Chicharito is from "high class", Barrera is from "working class", not a chance... maybe enough to play FIFA??? :84:

Oh yeah... My supervisor is Scottish, from Edinburgh.... Hearts fan.... I have been talking constantly with him for the last years and still can't manage to get more than half he says.... and he has pointed that he speaks "neutral" english....

The problem is that almost all our talent has gone through that... Our team in the WC were all with that problem, Franco, Giovanni, Vela, Osorio, Salcido... the only ones with real rythm were the ones playing in Mexico.

We can't afford to continue warming up benches, he'll go where he can play. :47:

Intrested yes, willing to pay? Seems not.... WH has been reported with 4M, Lazio with 3.5M and Celtic with 4.5M.... I think the difference will be that Lennon has shown interest on him publicly and as I mentioned we take that into account.

he can speak english fluently but rooney cant lol
Cant wait to see them 2 pair up at utd next year, fastest strikeforce in the league id say, plus chica was announced as the fastest player in the world cup by fifa 32mph !!

And barrera looks much the same, but my only worry would he be able to adapt to the SPL ???
