what the * just logged on and seen all these * know it all so called fans who think they know everything it's doin ma head . the same fans who got out the stadium before the end on sunday the same fans who try'd to boo and whistle the players off before the decent real fans took over

my big fear is that coyle will have to go through what strachan went through before he left . because some supporters didn't get the gaffer they wanted . :31::47:

I agree that all possibilities should be looked at and at least talked to before a decision is reached, however, I don't believe all of the supposed movement over Coyle has happened since Monday.

I wouldn't be surprised if the board knew of GS's intentions a while ago and started putting feelers out then and probably had a short list already drawn up.

If a better option game along then the board would be foolish not to consider them.

I mentioned that yesterday ,knowing the relationship strachan had with lawell ,he probaly knew strachan was going maybe 2 weeks ago ,hence the quicknes of the names getting touted around .:50:

    Why do you say that?

I don't really believe all those reports from this morning about the deal being done and compensation being sorted with Burnley. Sky reported that Burnley had not even received a request from Celtic to speak to Coyle about bringing him to CP.

We'll see what happens and what ends up on Celticfc.net/

Can it explain this official statement?

Owen Coyle tonight scuppered reports that he is all set to join Celtic as manager.
TV and newspaper speculation has been wide of the mark all day, with many journalists - especially those north of the border - insisting that Coyle was to be unveiled as the Scottish side's new manager before the weekend.
However, the Burnley manager, who has guided the Clarets to the Premier League, tonight (Wed) told burnleyfc.com: "There has been no approach to Burnley Football Club.

"It is people simply putting two and two together and making five.
"I am going on holiday with my family this weekend and I can assure you I will be doing so as Burnley manager."

The bookies are frequently wrong on Next Manager markets, and they know it.

That's why they run such ridiculously big margins on them.

At the moment you can get odds of about 2.5 on Coyle as next Celtic manager. If you reckon he's 99% certain, then you should stick your house on it at that price. :86:

[ Edit : You can now get 3.0 - his odds are totally on the slide ]
