if the lad comes in at that price, knuckles down and develops then that’s a steal in my opinion

    Just can't get enough
Another project signing how many players at 2,3 and 4 million have we signed and released a few years later for free or pennies on the dollar, it's just a stupid policy

It won't be 3million. Liverpool are always looking for ridiculous fees. They want 12million for Bobby Clark.

In fairness, Bobby Clark has played 15 times for Liverpool first team, he signed a new deal in December and is 3 years younger than Owen Beck.

Beck only has a couple of years left on his contract too.

The tribute act had their pants well and truly pulled down over that deal.

Celtic are planning to hijack QPR’s deal for Liverpool’s Owen Beck, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds are willing to listen to permanent and loan offers for the left-back in this transfer window, and QPR are already in talks over a deal.

The Championship club are currently in pole position to land the 22-year-old, but Celtic are now turning their attention to a possible deal.

With Adam Idah’s transfer finalised, the Scottish giants are free to concentrate on other areas of the squad.

Left-back is a focal point for Brendan Rodgers in this window, as he wants to provide cover and competition for Greg Taylor.

After missing out on Wolves’ Hugo Bueno, the Hoops now have to turn their attention to alternative targets on their shortlist.

Having strength in depth is crucial for Celtic if the Scottish giants hope to compete on all fronts this season.

Rodgers had been targeting Bueno, but the 21-year-old has opted to join Feyenoord on a season-long loan instead

Beck is a promising full-back who has gained most of his playing experience in the Premier League 2 for Liverpool, where he’s provided 11 assists in 50 games

The left-back spent last season on loan at Dundee and proved his ability to play in the Scottish Premiership.

Beck made 28 appearances for the Dark Blues, scoring twice and providing four assists as he caught Rodgers’ eye

If it's genuinely £3 million then it's a no brainer to be fair. But somehow I doubt that's the price.

He ticks the boxes for me. Big upside, proven in SPFL, good club pedigree and affordable.

3m sounds too good though. would expect to pay more, especially if we aren't the only ones interested.

What exactly is the difference between Beck and Doig?

They are practically the same age and one of them has far more senior minutes in their legs and even fits in with the whole homegrown talent due to his being Scottish and coming through with Hibs.

Would likely be a snip as well as the team got relegated from Serie A.

I know it will easily be turned around on me with Doig, but with Beck I really don't see the hype with him

I think they knew Rangers would pay it. They also charged them 4m for Davies, who didn't even get a game when all other centre backs were injured. Some clubs are just stupid and they take advantage

Doig is vastly over rated. A bang average full back.

Whe you say it like that, £11m on Kent and Davies. That's incredible business by Liverpool. Kent left for free and I don't see the huns making their money back on Davies either...hahahahhaha

You mean like us that overpaid for Idah cause our scouting network sucks and he was the obvious target?
