    Balotelli tops the lot, liability and simply no more than hype and good meia material, 1 good game in 10 is not good enough!

    Throw in Downing, Oxlade Chamberlain, Carroll, Ashley, Carlton and Joe * Cole for good measure!

    Not sure if Torres and Mertersacker can be termed as over rated as no one rates them anyhow!

    I'm of this opinion too in a way, I can see why people can say he's overrated because he never has too much to do.

    However I remember back in 06 in the UCL final he had the game of his life. Also in 2011 he had a save percentage of 79% for the calender year which was the highest for any goalkeeper in the top 6 leagues in Europe. I'm not really one for basing how good a player is purely on stats.... but that surely shows he's a pretty decent shot stopper at least.

    My correct opinion - seeing how I am an Arsenal fan and watch all there games and as a direct result seen every game Chamberlain has played for them.

    He was one of the centre halfs that went a record number of clean sheets for Bayern - thats why hes highly rated.

    The thing is though, with goalkeepers at top teams, the shots they have to face are when the opponent has less time and space, and they deal with less 1on1s and things like that.

    So the goalkeepers at the top teams look better. Van Der Sar was quality before he came to England, but was just seen as a good EPL keeper until he joined Utd at 36 then suddenly he was the best keeper in the league.

    Imo, stats shouldn't be used in football arguments.

    Although sometimes a manager's win ratio or a striker's goal-to-game ratio are important but there are always mitigating factors.

    with real madrid,he would shine there.
