Find it comical how they perpetuate this myth that their religion is so peaceful. :56:

Which goes directly to the heart of the hypocrisy all religious people live by

Its not enogh that they believe these fairytales but you must also or remain silent on the matter.

Why is it acceptable for a religious person to hold the view that I am going to burn eternally but its not okay for me to point out how ludicrous that belief is?

Again,if they really believed, there would be no outrage, just pity.Instances like this just shine a spotlight on the insecurity of 'believers'

Actually several of the hadiths state that Aisha was only nine.

You wonder if this is part of the reason Muhammed can't be depicted - because it could open up this and other behaviour to scrutiny which the hardliners don't like.

But Islam seems to have a disproportionately high amount of these nutters compared to other religions. They are still living in the dark ages and need to dragged into the 21st century.

One of the problems is that in countries such as Indonesia where there is a massive muslim population, people go on these protests because they have nothing better to do.

Well, if it's freedom of speech, maybe......in this case I think it was. Shouldn't be used as a precedent to ban all and sundry though, in the sphere of film etc.

I would see his point ....maybe. But then again , maybe he's a real life troll.

Either way - in this day n age - needs his heid seen tae.:97:

    Actually, not really.

I believe Snoopy made the world from Candyfloss over 4 Saturdays.
You say 'Bollocks - would've needed at least 3 years'
    I kill you for blasphemy.

    OK with you?
    Didn't think so.

I'm all for freedom of worship but not when I can kill you deid just cos you don't believe in the Book of Candyflosseronomy.

you make the point these Muppet's with bombs, and if you annoy them your words they will bomb you, but if you don't give them cause, as should be the case. all well and calm.

Religious protesters stand down as Gods agree to fight their own battles

For centuries, Christians, Muslims, Hindus and others have felt obliged to take offence by proxy and slaughter each other in their millions while their respective deities sulked in their bedrooms eating crisps and listening to annoying music. Now as their gap aeon draws to a close, the gods are finally setting off to manage their own affairs.

Single mother Mary ruefully recalled the time she dragged Jesus round to Quetzlcoatl’s mum’s house to make him apologise for his followers’ genocide of the Incas. ‘He can be a very loving boy, but I’m tired of doing everything for him – he just never seems to get involved. Time to move on. It’s a blessing really.’

Waving goodbye to Baal as he set off in a rusty Fiesta crammed with bags, boxes and a stained duvet, Samira was more forthright. ‘Good riddance, he treated this house like a hotel. His brazen bull was in a shocking state and we’ve never had a word of thanks. It’s very frustrating, after all the sacrifices we’ve made for him.’

And wiping a tear from her eye, Sarah Goldstein sighed, ‘It will be a wrench to see him go, just like when Mercury flew the nest, but they have to grow up, and little Yahweh was getting to be quite a handful. Sometimes he just doesn’t know his own omnipotence.”
