So Irish flags are okay but Irish songs aren't? Nice.

Surely the meaning behind the very flag itself is massively political.

Especially since it was given to us by a former IRA member.

Yeah but it too has nothing to do with Football & Scotland.

If you sing the Soldiers Song, Ireland's call or Hail Glorious St Patrick I doubt you'll get lifted.

So why is singing a song or displaying a banner?

    Lol

This is the mentality we're dealing with.

Some people have evolved, some won't. That's life I suppose.

    Where did I say that?

Are you really that naive to think that we would still have that same support if they never paid lip service to it? And that's all it is "we'll throw a wee tri-colour their way, that'll keep the scumbags happy"

The Soldiers song is a rebel song though. Or is that particular Irish rebel song okay just because it's a national anthem?

Maybe as shareholders we could make him sit in the toilets for the duration of the games he attends. That assumes he would actually go to a game.

That's pretty much how it works on private property.

    Don't like it, stay home.

Are you OK with the songs sang at Ibrox?

Would you let an orange walk march through your house?

It has everything to do with Celtic football club. Milan and Genoa (the very names themselves say it all, the Italians don't call them AC Milano or Genova) fly English flags because they have English roots as a club.

He's a shareholder at the club. Technically, he is an owner of the stadium.

Doing a bit of lawyering I see.
Do you really think that Celtic is nothing more or less than a company? Like Halfords or Microsoft? If you do why do you give it your allegiance?
Celtic is an institution - it has history, it has a legacy, it has fans. This is not an issue of property law.

Looks like some people will only be happy when the only representation of traditional Irish song songs being sung are watered down to the likes of Paddy McGinty's Goat, and other fiddley-dee type medleys.

I have no problem with the songs at Ibrox. I have yet to be injured by one.

If I accepted payment from the Orange Order then I could hardly object to them marching through my house.

I'm scottish .. but multi-cultural means i don't like to see any culture being harassed in an all inclusive family. I am more interested in people's rights.
