As far as I'm concerned we don't have the CB's to play 4-4-2.

So it has to be a 5 man midfield, one with McCourt in a free role in the hole - as he's our most feared player & opens space for others to exploit.

That's true pal, but he hasn't the pace or the dig to displace other players when they're fully fit.

Maybe Juarez hasn't done enough & Brown could go out on the wing, as he does for Scotland.

But you do make a good point.

 

Ki's not exactly slow either but look around at other top clubs ie - Milan Pirlo isnt the fastest but manages to pull the strings.

Arsenal - Fabregas isnt the fastest but does the job and im sure there is more clubs.

 

the team should be built around brown because hes one of the most reliable players!!! my * what reliable player on a yellow card goes in with a high slide tackle in the last minute of the game when he knows that a sending off would put him out of the next biggest game of celtics season

Two questionmarks here - jury is still out on Ljungberg, so I've not included him. Also wouldn't mind seeing Juarez at right back, but again, haven't seen enough of him in that position to know. So...
