Maybe even other than a new manager we could do with more of a nutcase in the dressing room even just as a coach or assistant. Lennon, Mjallby and Thompson were all a bit mental and you knew they'd be going off their nuts in the dressing room after every poor performance or draw.

Current 3 don't really have any aggression about them.

the main one being he's almost 65, and he was a complete disaster as DOF with Barnes, there was a reason MON demanded he was out if he came in

Nigel Pearson is a bit of a nutter, but he could do a good job here.
    Good suggestion by Slaw :50:

    I couldn't give a * how much of a * he is. He's a good manager.

I would also take Keane. Negotiate his wages (which we were unwilling to do first time around) and let him pick his assistant (which, again, we were unwilling to do the first time around).

Pearson may come across as a *. But, by Christ, he would install some passion and fight into this team.

Someone who is deserving of the job.
Someone with experience of managing a team of a similar calibre. Someone who knows what playing in Europe means (and no, not meaning pep guardiola or the likes).
Someone that won't take the job and think we are doing them a favour - your neil lennon, Tony Mowbray, Owen Coyle, Roy Keane, Ronny Delia, John Hughes, Jackie McNamara of the world. These are managers we would sign and would (have) been yes men, men who would feel like they have to toe the party line because we have given them a chance (cheap option).
Someone with dig, passion, respect within the game.
Someone who can motivate, change a game tactically.
Someone who isn't naive, selfish or stubborn to not see the errors of their choices.

I'm not expecting us to sign the top dogs of managers, same as I don't expect us to sign the top strikers in football. But I do expect us to stop penny pinching and go get the sort of manager (and player) that can contribute in taking this club forward.

Who's the current manager of teams like Porto, schalke, Valencia, Villarreal, Ajax, st Etienne, Fiorentina? We expect to be as good, if not better than these teams, then we need a manager and players of that sonar level to do that.
So let's look at who they are, sound them life, check their pedigree, offer them a decent and fair wage for the task we are asking them to do.

If a cl group team is paying an average of (example) 20k a week to a a manager, then so should we. Not offering 5k and expecting the same results.

Some of you people are living in cloud cuckoo land.

The board will install a puppet to further their agenda. Therefore, some of yous need to be careful what you wish for. Probably Owen Coyle or Jackie Mac.
