It needs to be a stubborn *. Someone who isn't afraid to sacrifice their footballing beliefs in Europe.

Gordon Strachan and Martin O'Neill got pelters for boring football at times in Europe but they knew you couldn't throw both full backs forward for example, or have your attacking midfielder (Johansen) running about like Usain Bolt on a gram of ching.

Izaguirre being caught up the park for that first goal in Molde summed us up in Europe in the last 20 odd months in my opinion. The interception was from a pass out to Lustig on the right wing. What the * was Izaguirre doing pushed up like a * outside left.

Someone who can deliver this or something similar. Perhaps Forrest for Stokes away in Europe.

Just because we've been poor in Europe before is not a conciliation for the performance level over the last two games.

Ronny hasn't got a clue how to prepare us tactically or mentally for a big European match and it's painfully evident on the pitch.

He's had a fair crack at it Legia, Maribor, Malmo and Molde. Even the games v Ajax and Fener felt like losses as we were so naive.

If people are happy to trundle along towards 10iar without making an impact in Europe then, well I give up.

Just on our domestic supremacy if anyone manages to mount a credible challenge would you trust Ronny in a league decider? Not on the big game evidence so far..

Where is this super fit team we were meant to be seeing, revolutionary methods? We seem to be vulnerable at the end of most matches. Partly because he's too slow to freshen the team up who have been running frantically in a bid to press for 90mins..

His signings look very dubious too.. Boyata, Blackett, Ciftci, GMS and Armstrong a CM trying to adapt to being a wide player. I like Armstrong but he been played out of position.

As is Commons who must play CAM in Europe as he is at his most dangerous there and doesn't have the legs to defend in this system in Europe. Commons gave the manager a big * off pill and apologised and was put straight back in. Commons now runs the dressing room and Ronny is scared to drop him. Weak!

Need to take the hit on this one. Get rid now before it's too late..

Cookie this is not to have a go at you mate, I just needed to get it off my chest..:50:

That side playing 4-4-2 would have got us out of this group no bother. Plenty of firepower in there and a nice balance to the midfield with Brown sitting in front of the centre backs.

Yip. The only downsize is that we could lack width on occasion but I would be asking Stokes and Commons to drift out now and then supplemented with overlapping fullbacks. There is no point having width anyway if you are not solid through the middle.

    442 wouldn't have.

We went to 442 last night and immediately got a man sent off. Deila doesn't play 442 properly either any time he does it.

He abandons the midfield with it.

442 with wingers is *. You also need to win the midfield battle. 2 up front you need to go diamond or 3 at the back for me.

Aye by sticking our best midfielder into center half! To be fair to him anytime we seen him try it, it has been in a case of panic. I'm normally very perceptive but last night I was so zombified that I dont even know who dropped back after Bitton went off, Johanson was it? It looked like we played a flat 442 but I was that stunned i dont even know.

the person that could take us to the later stages of the CL, realistic suggestions please, no Ancelotti's or Mourinho's

    I'll start

Michael O'Neill, the things he has done with a team of below average footballers is unbelievable.

Henrik. The players would love to be around this guy, and the fans would go mental.

He's done well at International level can't deny that but I'd be horrified if we sacked Ronny and replaced him with O'neil
