The secret to scoring goals if there is one, is to get the ball to the penalty spot as early as possible. Whether you go down the wing or through the middle if the ball goes to Hooper on the penalty spot 9 times out of ten it's a goal.

So it's about the tempo and the fast movement to get the ball there as fast as possible.
The signs were there against Motherwell that Lenny had a good formula from the start.
If Sammy is gonna play as an out and out runner on the wing he needs to know where the out ball is to be played and with someone from midfield joining in as a temporary second striker when we attack.

It's changing, it's just taking a bit of time. Forest comes in it's a goalfest, Stokes comes in he's got the end product too.

But we are starting to play through the middle of the park quicker and we need to get better at this. It's maybe seen as a risky approach in Europe, but in our league the risks are not so high.

But, 35 games in, we're still in all the competitions so hopefully we can go and get a proper replacement for Scott Brown, we all love Broony but play an attacking midfielder in there and it changes things. I'm not saying anything bad about Broony, he a great player, but we need to be able to change things in there from time to time.

In saying that, Lenny has this goal bet with him, that's purely to get him playing a bit more attacking, sometimes he's trying to juggle a lot of things and he just needs to trust Wanyama and Ambrose to do the holding.

You need to go out and fly at teams. If we play like we did first 30 minutes against Motherwell, chances are it'll happen soon.

You've left out Adam Matthews there, 8 assists this season.

Exactly, people are too focused on how we played at the Nou Camp. Even the match at Celtic Park, where we did end up defending for our lives, we played with two strikers and tried our best to have a go at them.

With the fact that Alex Song should have got sent off, as well as Mascherano, we did have them under more pressure than is given credit for. Infact if Mascherano didn't bring Tony Watt down we would have been 3-0 up.

Outside of that we went away from home in Moscow and scored 3 goals. 3 goals! When have we ever done that, it was a fine attacking display.

We were positive in the other matches as well and I feel we will be positive going into the Juventus game at Parkhead as well.

I know mate - how the * can a team not be expected to put in a defending performance against Barcelona ffs

The only time I would say anything negative about our performances was against Benfica (away) - gave them too much respect.

I don't think we gave them to much respect. I just think we played * *.

There's a reason we broke our scoring record in the Champions League this season and our points record. It's because we played very well.

We played our best attacking football in Lennon's first season, but our results have most certainly got better with each progressing season.

I would say Seville and Larsson's last season were * brilliant. It was only the last 6 months of MON's last season that wasn't all that good.

I would still say we played our best football in his first season when we thumped the huns 6 - 2 larrson scored 60+ goals im talking purely interms of entertainment although both MON and Strachen prob did win win the most in their first season as well

I would still have the Seville season up there with the most entertaining.

MON's first season we also got skelped 5-1 off of the Huns. Henrik Larsson was his own form of entertainment that season, he was unstoppable. Actually incredible. The biggest reason we won the treble.

I don't think it really changed much until Larsson left.

I would agree in terms of excitement but not in terms of how entertaining the team were in MON later seasons we were accused of playing long balls and being boring some of which accusations came from out own fans <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I still wouldn't agree with that. His last season, yes but not the seasons before then.

We are more functional now than we were when Lennon first took over, which is no accident.

In order to progress in Europe, earn a few quid and grow as a club we have to work out how to beat teams whilst being hard to beat ourselves. We have achieved that.

Some of our football under Lennon has been sublime, mostly when Stokes and Hooper are both up top it has to be said right enough but we are capable of producing quality displays no doubts.
