I expected a decent defender like Mowbray would know how to make a decent defence. The worst thing in the SPL now is our defence. Criminal to score 4 goals and not win, especially when trying for the league.
And Fatboy Slim in goals needs a boot up the * too.

I am not willing to give Mowbray any more of our precious time because has made a complete * of the job, and this season is already a write off imo, and given some our best players just now are loaners who may leave in the summer, and our defence is still utter, utter gash I think Mowbray should fall on his own sword if he has a modicum of honour in his body.

The thing is our new CM's if you want to call them that (Hoovens and Hooivelt)partnership are not even tested
Hoovens the ballerina in shorts,we all know this man aint a football player and the new lad has not been tested yet,we will have to wait even more months
this defence will not work correctly for the rest of this season i can tell you that now, so its back to the drawing board my friends

First game on as a sub and a certain player sets up a goal for Hibs.
Not too long after that he scores a og in a European game.

Even the best players can take time to find their feet.

TM has got my full backing:50:.When his team clicks they will be a joy to watch.I am confident this will be soon.
The huns must be loving this split in the camp. Why give the shites that pleasure. The board haven't backed TM like they have to sack him.& i am sure he is too much of a man to walk away.
Lets stop with the negativity am sure some posters want us to trip up
to say that" they told us so "

And who's job is it to sign defenders??

Does Mowbray buy the personally? Does he have 2/3/4m in his back pocket?

I know from Reading your posts that thinking isn't your strong point but do you maybe think it's Lawwell's job to buy defenders? Do you honestly think Mowbray sat at the start of January or even in August and said, "yeah these defenders will do for me"?

He wanted St Ledger in August - Lawwell failed to get him.
He wanted St Ledger in January - Lawwell failed to get him.
He wanted Ramis in January - Lawwell failed to get him n rather than get him he blew the budget on a striker that wasn't a priority. If he was we would not have brought in Rassmussen and Kamara.

Still no sign of Peter Grants resignation. Do you not get tired of being constantly wrong?

TM is a gonner. He is a decent man and it would have been great to see him succeed. The facts are we are competing against the exact same rangers team as last year but we are doing worse.

I've now made my mind up about him. That match against the Dons was the worst example of negligence i've witnessed. I really don't know what substitutions he's going to make. In my opinion he thinks about the game too much and makes it complicated. he is far too quiet for my liking - i was going absolutely banana's on saturday and that was the final straw. :47:

I think he has signed some good players but his ability to organise his team when the match is underway is very poor -he nearly always makes the wrong choices. Sorry but TM must go.:87:

I expected we would come unstuck in the Champions League if we got a good side and we did. No embarrassment there.
I expected we would easily come through our Europa League group, not unjustifiably either. This has been a failure. In fact I source the beginning of our shambles back to that night in Tel Aviv. Our European campaign was abject and shambling. An instant black mark.
I expected an end to cheap home exits in Cup competitions. We did not achieve that either, and have presented Rangers with another chance at a free trophy.
I expected it to be a bumpy ride given the tired squad the manager inherited, but one that could keep pace (at least) with a limited Rangers side, no matter the extent of the restructuring required. I don't think winning league games against Falkirk, Dundee United, Hibs and Kilmarnock should be beyond even a competent coach at such times.
I expected that slowly we would begin to address the season long frustration in front of goal, and for us to take a much higher percentage of our glut of highly presentable chances turning draws (and latterly defeats) into wins.
I expected that it would take a lot of time to sort out our impoverished central defensive position and defence in general. The personnel are largely now in place, and this area should improve, especially if it is measured up to the depths of recent times.

I worried at the beginning that Mowbray's attitude to defeats at West Brom and Hibs was too casual to be good enough or acceptable at a club like Celtic. I worried about the precedent of employing a manager who had finished last in his previous season simply because he preached, and apparently delivered good football, seemingly at the expense of football's true currency, wins.

I worried that we would be a naive side that was mentally lacking.

I never foresaw the shambles that the season has become. I didn't think it was possible given the resources available relative to every other team and manager in the League.

I also expected that a lot of people would cite Strachan as culpable if things went wrong, despite the fact that he is only one factor, in a similar vein to the fact that O'Neill was only one early factor in Strachan's own initially inauspicious tenure.

I fear we are going nowhere fast and I look for upcoming games to tell me differently. The problem has been that one decent or solid performance has inevitably been followed by what seems like a bigger, more shambolic black mark to the one suffered previously.

The board where well right not signing Ramis. the Agent wanted a higher cut of the transfer fee. why should celtic pay extra at the last minute, when the deal had already been agreed.

Overview of us this season under Mugga:

League - Nothing short of disgraceful. 5 away wins since August says it all.

Champions League - Decent win over Moscow but went out to Arsenal far too easily, didn't put up any sort of fight IMO.

Europa League - Just a total failure, tactics when we were winning in Tel Aviv are among the worst I'v ever witnessed. As good as out with 2 games to spare in a group we should have qualified from.

League Cup - Timid home exit

Scottish Cup - Beaten two 1st Division teams, can't really judge.

Bottom line.......get this clown out ASAP.

Spot on european football scares the * out of me under Mowbray. Was willing to give him another season but his lack of direction , lack of motivational skills and endless "we take it on the chin , we move on etc" has sickened me. This is nt a hard league to win and we are so financially ahead of the rest that , to be trailing a bankrupt outfit BY 10 POINTS who havent bought a player for 2 years is TOTALLY UNACEPTABLE. We cant afford to go on in blind hope that next season it will come good, it wont. He is clueless, his substitutions tactics etc at times defy belief and most importantly he does nt wanna be here!!!!! All he had to do was close the game down on saturday shore up midfield and protect a very shaky defence and he went and made a total * of it AGAIN! Take no enjoyment what so ever posting this but truth hurts at times. To all those who still wanna go with him PLEASE wake up and smell the coffee guys

Maybe we shouldn't be overly surprised. TM's WBA & Hibs teams were hardly lauded for their ability to defend. Even with the personnel at his disposal, chopping and changing hasn't helped, nor has his reluctance to tailor tactics to compensate for the defensive frailties. That said, we need to continue to back the team regardless. Am I happy with where we are and what progress, or lack thereof, there has been? No. There is room for justifiable criticism, however, we need to remain united by supporting the team and by extension the manager.

We win one game and everybody gets their hopes up; this is gonna be it, this is were our season starts properly, then we draw or get beat. Its happened far too much and people have just had enough of the stuttering stop start season, blame has to fall at the managers feet as he seems incapable to get any sort of consistency out of the team. 5 away wins since august no matter if yer pro or anti TM you have to admit is embarasing for a Celtic side with the quality we have at our disposal
