Celtic Football club sympathise With the plight of Legia Warsaw but would like to make it clear that the rules are set out by EUFA and any grievances should be taken up directly with EUFA.

That's your problem, Celtic don't have to agree to anything. If Celtic don't agree that they should have fielded an ineligible player, that "rule" is invalid. We've never fielded an ineligible player in any of our games so we're quite entitled to let UEFA pass judgement on the issue and get on with things. And you want to talk about "fair play" eh? I think you'll find all clubs involved in the same competition, adhering to the same rules, is the absolute definition of fair play, you broke set rules and got punished, the same way Celtic would have if they broke the same rules. That's fair play. Brushing over rules and letting teams advance in competitions based on morals is no way to run a competition.

Clerical error or not , It was still against the rules of the game and the rules are in place to be adhered to . The rules are not in place to be broken and then say "ah but we didn't mean it surely you know we didn't mean it come on stick to your values and clubs tradition etc and give us a re match" your club 'legia' are an embarrassment for acting in this way with an open letter to try and get everyone on celtic case when in fact your club is the stupid ones !!:38:

Unfortunately we appear to be dealing with a club that is entirely deluded. Just our luck.

The Rules & Punishments were CLEAR BEFORE THE MATCH

Now if Legia, or any other club thought they were unjust/harsh then surely the time to complain was before this situation arose.

If Legia want to have the rules changed for next years competition then they should get their proposal in NOW. I am sure many clubs would back them and hopefully Celtic would be one of them.

Changing Punishments retrospectively can be done BUT only after the laws/ rules are changed in such manner. Can Celtic get a one off game with Partizan with our fans in the stadium?

I really do hope that the whole issue is looked at but why should Celtic get involved when they have done nothing wrong.

Yeah and because they haven't dropped everything to rush together a statement means that we are seriously considering whatever it is they want.

    Statements, statements, statements.

Everytime these deluded idiots come away with some PR nonsense mentioning us I want a statement from you Peter and I want it within thirty minutes or I'll be writing a strongly worded letter to Mr Desmond. Got that?

    Actually it should be...

    Rape someone.
Don't rape anyone but forget to fill out a form saying "I didn't rape anyone".

    Should they be sentenced differently?
Yes, only one of them is an actual rapist.

    Failed logic, buddy. ;-)

This is nothing more than Legia trying to show Celtic up to be an unfair opponent, at the end of the day we where beaten on the park yes i get that, but if you play someone who is suspended and shouldn't even be on the team sheet let alone the * park then that screams stupidity.
