Excatly you cant logically compare the two given that Mourinho had a great squad in Porto then moved to Chelsea and the millions. Martin had buttons to play with compared to him.

 

would it be to much to ask him to come back as general manager

 

Wouldn't surprise me if Cappello gets the bullet and Martin is made England manager.

 

apart from getin a mediocre leicester side to two worthington cup finals. Winning one . Getin celtic to a european cup final ...and wining the domestic treble in his first season. Bringing in our current gaffer. Getin aston villa to an fa cup semi final and carling cup final. A team now in a position to push for champions league football .. suffin they would never have dreamed of before o'neils arrival.

I think O'Neill will take a break for awhile, maybe work as a pundit until a big job opens up. Don't think he'll be back here in any capacity.

I was shocked to hear he quit as Villa boss tbh, Villa were 6th or 7th biggest club in England! I dont see O'Neil comming back and I dont see him taking a step back to manage a lesser EPL club! I think he could be eyeing the Man Utd/ Arsenal job!

 

Can't see MON being asked to come back
1. NL is now too much of his own man. A bit like when MON would not accept Dalgleish in any capacity at the Club
2. History shows that MON spends money at every Club he has been to and this time around Peter 'Lawman' would be on too many valium tablets at the thought of MON spending as much as he did before.

Anyone know how his wife is getting on if i can remember 1 of the reasons he left celtic was because his wife was ill ( think it was some sort of cancer ) maybe he just wants some private time with his family!

he didn't * off to england, he took a year out to be with his wife cos she was ill, and stated last week if it wasn't for that he would still be here, i think your the one who has a short memory

 

His wife was ill ... he took time out to be a carer for her. Shortly after this .. strachan was hired as manager who had a succesful career with us. MON returned to football as strachan was still manager . I dont see how he * off from celtic . He got a new job , as u do .

 

come on back martin. with him and lenny at the helm well be unstopable

 

His wife hated it up here and wouldnt come back if you paid her, that is fact but it was terrible that she was struck down with Cancer that thankfully shes well now but i dont believe that her illness was his only consideration for leaving.
