    i cant believe this news i feel sorry for Aston Villa fans because i know how bad i felt when he left us, he is certanly a top top manager and if there was even a whiff of him coming to us as director of football i would be very very happy but i cant see it happening though.

    everything suggest it was for footballing reasons, what find bizarre is that with MON character this sudden abruptness is not like his charaxter you know? obviouslt he gave everyone notice of his last season here due to family issues, leicester i don't remember tbh so it just seems wierd that without warning a person of MON character would just up and leave and gone without a single thing said type of thing just, sitting there on a chair, turn around, turn to look back at chair, BANG he's gone!!!

    most shocking news av heard in ages in football! as much as i'd love to see the saint returning to paradise I seriously doubt he'd come back..i just cant see Lennon wanting to step aside.. unless it was a personal reqest to mentor him and the rest of the backround staff Lenny has brought in.
    Its gonna be good to see how long it takes the media to spout out his return lol

    I agree with you, there has been no suggestion of anything else going on and I imagine it is related to transfer funds or something. However, with regards to the big 'C' its not always possible to give notice...such is the nature of the beast. But like I said, I think its all about football, just showing concern for a man I respect immensely and covering all bases:50:

    If o`neil was to come back in sort of role would be a great deal, however as usual with the press as they are how long before we see it o`neil thats in charge. Cannae believe am saying this but it could have a negative effect on the club.
