No disrespect to Brendan but who should we go for to be next manager once he leaves.
One that will be backed fully by board.

I dunno, someone promising at the time he leaves.

The other names last time seemed to be Iraola, McKenna and Maresca - all now doing well and I’d imagine they’d have all done a good job here. Obviously was between Howe and Ange before that, which is good to me!

As long as it’s not someone boring then I’m quite content

With Johan Mjallby as his assistant.

    That would toughen us up.

The worry is they look at someone like a Scott Brown with a connection to the club rather than look for an upcomming manager.

If Brendan left in the summer im not sure who would be best placed

That’s basically what I was going to come in and say.

We were also linked with Fariola who looks like winning the Eredivisie with an average Ajax side beating two CL last 16 teams to the title.

Despite the time it took to get Ange in due to Howe the last two searches for a manager has unearthed some really good candidates. Hopefully we would do so again, who that is I have no idea just now. I just hope they don’t try give Kennedy the job full time or go for the likes of a Brown.

He already here ..John Kennedy 100% will be our next manager ..that's why when ange was appointed he was told to work with kennedy& Strachan as his backroom team .it's continued with Rodgers .so the board will hope the experience he gets with working under these 2 will help when he is eventually the boss of Celtic .

I don't think Kennedy ever gets the job unless it was Rodgers leaving overnight and he went in in a temporary capacity and done the business/ enough (like we hope happens with Ferguson or what previously happened with Lennon mark II).. Desmond really values management, last time if the shortlist was maresca McKenna Rodgers irola we are definitely looking in the right areas.

Id like the McKenna, maresca of the day depending on when Rodgers leaving would be. I don't think Rodgers walks into any big job/ prem job anytime soon so wouldn't suprise me to see him sign a extension from his villa in Majorca over the summer. I wouldn't say no to Ange either..hes gonna leave spurs at some point it's just whether the stars align..

Don't see it to be honest, I think the club was burned during Lennon's second spell and the club will be cautious now. If they wanted to go down that route I think Kennedy would already be our manager. Brown could one day be manager, but he'll have to prove himself first which he hasn't done.

I think Brendan will actually extend his contract but if not I think they will go for Scott Brown or even bring back Neil Lennon although hope not.

I’m probably one of the few who thinks Kennedy is an excellent coach and could have a great career in management, and would much prefer him over Brown or someone similar.

But I think we can do better. If Kennedy was to go somewhere for a few years, learn his trade and come back, I’d be really open to that.

Chris Davies is who I think it might be. Doing very well at Birmingham, has links with the club and will likely be recommended by Rodgers.
