AEK ATHENS have dramatically pulled out of a move for Olivier Ntcham after claiming Celtic now want a fee.

The Greek giants originally believed the wantaway 25-year-old midfielder could be available on a free transfer with the Hoops deciding on a further 12-month option on his contract.






But after several weeks of talks and agreeing personal terms with the Frenchman, they are now exploring other targets with local reports insisting Celtic are looking at a sale.

Ntcham cost £4.5 million from Man City in 2017 but has been after a move for the last two years.




Marseille took him on loan last season but it proved a disastrous switch as he hardly played and when he did performances were mediocre.

Now the player is certain to want answers from new Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou and chief executive Dominic McKay who formally replaces Peter Lawwell on Thursday.

 

Couldn't give a * if AEK pull out because we want a fee. Window has barely been opened.

Surely he'd talk to Celtic before negotiating with AEK.

Getting rid of Ntcham for what we owe (supposedly) on Barkas' fee would've been an alright deal in the end though.

If they offer a one night stay for one in a 1 star hotel in Skegness I think we should take it!

As bad as that offer sounds it's probably a fair deal!

 

Get this * * so far away from the team. Wouldn't have him in the country let alone the pre season trip. * *.

 

Must be a total beamer for him returning to the club and going on pre season after unfollowing Celtic on all his social media
