I've never in my life heard a Scottish person use the term 'cut of your jib', unless they were cracking some kind of sailor joke...

Maybe it was something along the lines of "do you want cut, or chibbed?" that you heard... :56:

Brilliant for him to open his account for us.

We're fine when it comes to strikers. Hyeon-gyu just needed game time and teammates motivated to score and set up goals.

Obviously still a bit away from being fully fit to play more than 30mins, made a good account of himself again though and like the poachers instinct for the goal. Something GG was good at, looks sharp in and around the box.

Brilliant for him to get off the mark.

Always find it mad that Hartson and Zurawski took about 12-15 games each to get off the mark but still ended up hugely prolific scorers for us.

Scoring early on, particularly off the bench, can only be a good thing.

Thing I loved about that goal was the 10-15seconds before it, the way he just held off the defender, like he was a wee kid... He looks big and strong enough that we shouldn't need to worry about most of the physicality that gets to most foreign players until they settle (hopefully!)

Interesting! I've never came across anyone Scottish that used it conversationally at all, but in fairness, that doesn't mean much on the greater scale of things
