    Think Mulgrew, Ledley and Kayal need game time together though. Although Kayal is prone to picking up niggles, so maybe, aye. Think he should be playing though. He's been one of our best players over the last few games..

    Why? Brown can't play against Ajax and Ledley needs some game time so no doubt he is keeping Kayal as fresh as possible for Ajax. Plus Brown and Ledley is arguably our best central midfield combination anyway.

    Thats an argument that can be made. It would seem though that Lennon feels like given Brown can't play against Ajax so he wants to rest one player and play Brown the 90 minutes today which is an argument I agree with.

    Really dodgy to think they'll hit the ground running in an away European game, it'll take them at least 15 minutes to settle in to each others play. Lets hope that doesn't haunt us.

    Strong team though I would have rested a few more for midweek. Interesting that Balde starts with Stokes as is poses the question of who is going to start on their own midweek? I would guess Stokes but hopefully Balde gives Lennon reason to reconsider today.

    I assume Kayal's fitness is being monitored for Ajax, but I would have been tempted to bench the likes of Izzy, Mulgrew and Forrest (if we intend to play him midweek). I get that we want to keep momentum going but we also have a decent squad and it is games like this that we should be using our younger players
