Official TC Celtic v Hearts Match Thread

Second half was * but getting 3 points and a clean sheet up there im happy :icon_mrgreen:

 

Thought it was a very clinical performance.We didn't create a clear cut chance all game but still came away as 2-0 winners.The commentators kept saying that it had been all too easy for Celtic but it was easy because we made it easy for ourselves by completley bullying their midfield out of the game early on and a huge amount of that was down to Barry Robson who stamped his authority all over the game.The back 4 functioned very well with all 4 individuals putting in good performances,especially Hinkel and Caldwell.We made that game look easy which is a testament to the performance of the team in what is the toughest SPL away ground apart from Ibrox.

 

Good result but tbh I thought we played pretty average in the second half.After the sending off I would have liked to see us make more use of the extra space and work more on our passing game.We really didn't create enough chances and there keeper had very little to do.

I know I am probably being a fussy * but I was sure McCourt was going to get more than 3 mins.

 

Cracker goal from Maloney! Caldwell goal wasnt a great one but it went in

 

Missed a penalty again. Should have chucked Samaras on, crutches and all to take it.

 

To be fair we obviously went into cruise control mode in the second half with a 2-0 lead and the Junior huns down to 10 men and not a threat.

 

Glad to get a clean sheet. Any poor performers?

 

McDonald and Sheridan were the only two that springs to mind.

McDonald is too greedy, and can't see pass.

And Sheridan is too stupid and clumsy.

 

Heard McDonald won us the penalty, but I can't argue ain't seen anything.

 

i'd say no, we really coasted after the second goal went in. very comfortable performance although i'd like to see more from hinkle and although he's young i haven't been impressed with sheridan at all

 

Aye he did, but it was outside the box I thought.

Referee had a shocker yesterday IMO.

 

Peeps are going on about a banner at the hearts game..........can someone tell me what it said?

 

Yeah, can anyone enlighten us on the Hearts banner?

 

Maybe we should start another useless thread asking "what did that * banner say"
