I would even settle for Barry Robson than Sno getting a game.

Riordan was average to say the least on Saturday against Gretna, so it's a worry that he'll be starting on Wednesday. With Brown and Riordan on the wings we'd lack proper ability to get down the line and whip in a cross; both players would want to cut inside all the time. Personally I'd start Sno instead of Donati as Donati kept on giving the ball away and getting robbed of the ball on Saturday; Sno is a safer option.

Even if we do get names in on the 1st, it's highly unlikely that they'd play any part in the Rangers match. We'll be all right with what we've got for the minute. Riordan and Brown, although they're not wingers, will do all right. As long as we make no silly errors and McDonald is lively, we'll win. Optimistic is best way to go about things.

Donati was very poor against Gretna - giving the ball away et al. Sno can be no worse.

sno absolutely useless. Massimo has a touch of class at times and that could be the key

Well let's hope, if Strachan goes with him on Wednesday, that he produces some of his class moments.

Sno is on a poorer form the now than Donati mate, our midfield would get ripped apart if he plays imo, between Balde and Sno i could see a penalty being giving as there to slow, the best we can put out in midfield would be..

    Brown--Hartley--Donati--Riordan

trying to work out what date the game will be rescheduled for..

It surely has to be played before the Ibrox game on the 29th March..

Only 2 weekends are free between now and then and those are - Saturday 2nd February and Saturday 8th March..

I can't see any International matches scheduled for those weekends but have a feeling Scottish Cup games are due to be played on both dates..

That would mean it's likely we play the huns at Parkhead on a Wednesday night..

Checking through the BBC's fixture lists the only realistic dates are these..

    wed 16th january
    wed 23rd january
    wednesday 6th february
    wednesday 12th march
    wednesday 19th march
    wednesday 26th march

not sure but think the huns are due to play Gretna on wed 16th january , although the BBC says they have no game that night and think Hutton will be banned if it gets played on the 23rd January.

How do bannings work ? Is Mcgeady now free from a ban or will he automatically misses our next SPL game (As it stands our next SPL game will be against Kilmarnock at Parkhead on Saturday 19th January)

Can't see the game against the huns at Parkhead getting played on wednesday 19th march or wednesday 26th march because that's only a week before we play them at Ibrox..

using my powers of guessing I think it will be one of these 3 dates.

    wed 23rd january
    wednesday 6th february
    wednesday 12th march

Does anyone think this game has to be played on a weekend ?..

I suppose they could play it on one of the Saturdays mentioned above and switch the respective Scottish cup games to the midweek

i think all this team can rise up to the occasion

im normally a critic of balde but he seems to know how to handle the huns

maybe have jarosik ready to come on if one midfield fails to show the flair they all can

as for strikers, who else do we have???
