I can see threads of despair like last pre-season

Results arent important, seeing who is sharp and who isnt is the name of the game

 

yep match fitness is wot its all about but i'm still seening 2 much of this punt the ball up the park and everybody chase it *

i would love to be here this morning praising our teams good performance and building on the weekends 5-1 win over the mighty qpr,,but sadly and i mean sadly it wasent to be, dont get me wrong we hit a post in the 1st half but we were already 2-0 down,we got hit with the old juan,,two

the juan two being juan pablo angel ,the super striker formally of aston villa ,
at villa he couldent score in a brothel ,but wait a minuit he was playing against a bunch of fannys

honestly,this was woefull shocking and downright embarrising,we should and could have lost 5 goals ,boruc saved a penalty ,then we quickly went 2-0 down,and yankees were feeling doodle dandy after missinsg several chances

half time 2-0 msl,

then the second half ,i still had hope this stage, im thinking well he will change things hear,,mabye the mass changes strachans been doing will inprove things,, but * me gently he made no changes whatsoever,,even the players looked shocked at this ,,anyway 5 mins later the subs appeared,i thought strachans wasting time here,,but we are 2-0 down,,why wait 5 mins to change ,when he could have started the second half with this new plan to get the goal we need to get back in the game,,but it dident matter in the end because it finished 2-0 to msl,,with celtic not creating a chance not a sniff

there was one comment from one of the 3 comentaters,,who said in 83 mins

gordon strachan will be a happy man tonite knowing he still had 4 defenders willing to chase back even after 83 mns the 1 good cetic have done all night,refering to celtic foilling yet another chance by that a team from that great footballing nation ,known as The US OF A


this was bad one lads the worst yet,, but the stream was brilliant and the atmostphere was great,,the constant beckham interviews and shots of him in the stand,were more entertaining,,beckham entertaining eh,,

Pre-season problems! If we keep playing a la last evening we ain't gonna qualify for the CL proper and then the s*** will hit the fan and maybe we'll get rid of a few "holiday makers". Caldwell, Pressley, Gravesen, Jarosik, Wilson, all need to buck up their ideas.

 

I think people read too much into these pre season matches. The MLS all stars are a decent side who have previous of beating even better sides than us.

Who cares if we lost, last pre season was far worse at this stage but it didn't affect us when it came to winning games that count.

I'm not strachans biggest fan, far from it, but I am wise enough to know that we are in as strong a position as we have been for a long time.

The only things that worry me are our lack of quality up front and in the central defensive position and the fact gravesen is still using up the majority of season ticket sales to keep him at the club.

the performance was bad , i cant belive we were that bad,im thinking of watching it again,but ive seen the light and * that

 

*'s sake Davie this is our PRESEASON, judge the team when it counts. Lets remember that the MLS Allstar team beat Chelsea last season and I didn't hear their fans saying that their squad was useless.


Although i think seeing our lack of width when neither McGeady or Naka are in the team shows how much we need cover in that position, plus cover at fullback, plus a top poacher. But they can only come in if we can get rid of a couple of players. And it seems that even though we are accepting bids the players are not willing to leave.


Plus Pressley was woeful.

 

Pre-season all this all that we were only off for a few weeks.One Minute Pressley and Hartley are saying they needed the rest and now they are raring to go,now it's fittingly being used as an excuse for losing.Awww we weren't sharp enough etc....Load of sh1te.Seems they use it when it suits them.

We don't come up against the quality of this in the Spl.So when we start beating Gretna everyone is like: "see it's just pre-season fitness stuff,getting sharp like "

Just because we can beat Gretna doesn't suddenly make us a good team.And another thing people use this excuse that people don't like Strachan because he ain't Celtic Minded and all that nonsense.

Naw people don't like him because of his * tactics like Jarosik on the left.And his ability to make the most ardent Celtic fans feel embarrassed about there performances.Benfica,Copenhagen fvckin the last six months!Not to mention the Ron Jeremi esq * he has for scottish players like Miller,Hartley and Greasley.Put it back in the pants Gordon

 

this * me off,, how can u say these matches dont matter,every well a lot of talk celtic say this,it mind boggling that the "dont really matter"thinkers
think celtic travell to america yes america a vastly populated country with the worlds eyes watching ,knowing the most famous footballer in in the stadium,,not kenny miller but david beckham with a dont matter attutide with a manager who allowes this to happen
,"imagine the sinario" right lads were going to america to play an all stars game with the world press watching an audience of millions, beckham in the stadium.fans travelling from 1 country to another and back home then to america,,but do you know what it dosent matter if u lose[badly]its only a friendly

u also say the defence is wrong and we are not scoring goals,,that leaves mdfeild,is the midfeild not soppose to help and support the defence and the forwards,,,so there * as well then,, ,,so in effect your saying the whole teams not right,,and it dosent really matter,,the words head in sand come to mind m8

very dissapointing last night we looked totally outclassed< but sorry to repeat but it means nothing. were are currently travelling all over the place,playing a game every few days almost and doing 2 hour training stints before games! we are out in the states to prepare the squad for the season ahead and only when we start playin competitive games will we be able to judge! i dont believe last night was by any means gs best startin 11.

I know we all wanted to prove our selves to the yanks but lets get over it and start lookin at the positives! the old mule lennon has gone and sorry but that can only be good for us he slowed us down, he was only good at the simple pass. i believe its goin to take time for this team to gel and work on a whole new way of playimg now that lennon is away. one thing i will say is we need to clear some dead wood, we all know who tg,jj,bb,sp ,ph etc to free up some cash for some quality not squad players! big squads are great if its full of talent but sadly its full of knobs happt to pick up 40k a week and sit on the bench rather than move on for first team football.

regardless of whether we get rid and bring fresh talent in we will have a gd startin 11 when the season kicks off! so lets all stop panicking and stickin the knife in after poor pre season games! cmon the the hoops i for one have every faith well make it 3 in row!

The score was no surprise, we have only played like 3 games and the players for mls all-stars are halfway through there season as it has been said in a prevoiuos post, the travelling dosnt help and the bhoys were playing a game BST at 2:30am in the morning, takes time to adapt to a new time zone so it was a matter of time for tiredness to kick in.

Best players on the field for the bhoys would have to be for me was Boruc, McDonald, then after half time McGeady came on didnt do much really apart from some fancy footwork but that isnt gonna get us a goal, and my * almighty Gravesen should be playing with the -B Team.

PS: Does anyone know if the celtic game this sunday will be televised?

 

I can't understand half of what you've just written here, but I'm quite sure the world media couldn't give a * about us losing a friendly game against the mls allstars (i'm sure they didn't create half the fuss your making here when chelsea got beaten off the same side). And what the * is david beckham got to do with anything, is our team supposed to play up to this foney celbrity-come-football player?

I hope to * your not serious with this comment. Football managers should be banned from countries for not taking friendly matches seriously?

We need another defender and another striker, because pressley isn't good enough and if we're being brutally honest neither is kennedy (o'dea remains to be seen what he'l be like), and at the other end of the park mcdonald and killen are decent back up but no more, spl is their level and they will get found out on the big stage me thinks. Now, that has * all to do with our midfield, i'm perfectly happy with what we've done there so far. If we get rid of graveson and jarosik then it will make me all the more happy.

 

we currently have a squad,when fit capable of winning the spl, which is the main objective every season. if we can get the absolute best out of our "blue chip" players i.e. gravesen, jarosik,jvoh & once again naka, then there is no reason we cant do as well in the cl. imo

 

i cant be arsed readying half this thread , can some one tell me, are the strachan + hartley, presley, grav haters out in force?
