I watched McGeady near enough at the end of the game when he went on that run and he tried a way through and maybe tried to pick a shot ,but there wasnt many options for him elsewhere ,im sure i seen Hinkel come into the picture a bit later but static players are know good to anyone.

Our performance had a lot of bad aspects to it today as well despite winning. You can't expect it to be swept under the carpet just because we are top of the league. That's just silly.

We are top and are top by basically playing not great football ,it says a lot for the teams around us but if Celtic just pulled things together they would run away with that league ,but i dont trust them just now to do it.

Thought Saints played a nice passing game and closed down very hard so it was a tough game never going to be a turkey shoot. Thought it was a very positive game. I thought everyone played well except Fox who had a mare. Aidan played one of his all too rare games where he looked a great player and a team player. He is so much better on the right and should always play there. Hopefully this isnt a false dawn and down to it being a wee SPL team. We have a record of doing well against similar teams but stuggling against the top half of the SPL. Thought Hinkel, Loovens, N'Guemo, Zhi, Aidan and Sammy were excellent today. Only bad point is Fox is in danger of a bring back Naylor campaign in the last few games.

Most importantly the results have gone our way today to such a degree that a lot of pressure has been taken off Mowbray. He looks far more likely to surivive now than he looked last week.

I have been a moaning * this season but even I thought we had some very good passages of play and many excellent performances today. Could easily have been a 6-1 if we hadnt missed a pen and Fortune could score goals. Some people are never happy.

Did he not " ping " a ball right to the feet of hinkel in the first half?? im not mcgeady's biggest fan, but today he was sheer immence, always looking for the ball, great ball for mcdonald's and sammi's goal, he was the root of everything celtic done today.

Did anyone else see the guy fallin down the stairs up at area 443? scary stuff, tumbled right down to the barrier, think he was steamin, tried to get up and fell down again.

I think McGeady is better on the right as well, but I also think Aiden would be immense if he was played central just behind the main striker, with full licence to roam wherever he wishes to go.

Got the result but still not convinced, we're really poor.

The bookies at Parkhead weren't paying out on McDonald so think it went down as an OG

That is so true. In OF games you can see for several years now that Rangers are far better at the constant movement off the ball and wee triangles. They actually make far more of poorer players at Rangers and the basis of that is a solid defense and a surprisingly decent pass and move game. They are not as good as they were in their UEFA final year/ our 3 in a row but they still tend to outpass us before shutting up shop if they score first. You also see very good pass and move/off the ball play among teams like Dundee United, Hearts. Hibs etc. Even smaller teams like St Mirren and Falkirk have looked far better at this than us for at least one half in recent games against us. There is a lack of football intelligence and vision in our team among the MF and forwards. Too many our players do not play with their heads up and see/give movement. The only exceptions are Maloney and Sammy. Sammy for me suffers from people not seeing obvious angles and wee runs he makes. Watch him off the ball. He is a clever player surrounded by people with no football brain.
