Thought we had the same problem we had during the second half of last season, lack of ideas up front. Thought the whole back 4 looked like they hadn't played together before and Fortune had a debut to forget.

Still 2-1 in Russia gets us through, it's not like our team isn't going to attack over there.

Yep, caught slow but poor finishing was the problem - Fortune in the 1st and Sammy in the 2nd were the main culprits. On such small margins do games hinge.

There was a lot of promise last night - the first half (post-goal) for example when we were battering them into submission. Alas they survived but it showed that if we play football the way we want to play it then we can create chances.

N'Guemo was superb and practically running the midfield
Donati was dire and merely served to pass the ball backwards all night or lose possession in enemy territory
    Maloney and McGeady were superb

Everyone else was alright. I think there are good things to come. Perhaps the UEFA cup wll prove to be our best bet at this stage, although it's about time this away euro hoodoo was broken.

The 'away hoodoo' would have been broken last year but... nah it still pains me.

Anyway I stay away from this board when a games on and no wonder, some amount of bumf being spouted. I know we get emotional at games but come on, the way folk are banging on you would think Loovens played the game upside down or some *. Donati deserved (most of) the abuse though.

N'Guemo looked mighty impressive last night, and someone needs to give Fortune a boot up the *. He can score goals and once in a while he should just * wallop the ball instead of walking it in. * all the strikers should do that.

You're correct, we miss Nakamura, to be able to play the quick passing game you need a playmaker. Without one, I suggest we abandon the ground passing game.

From the very very little you can take from Moscow we were looking like a very direct, old school British style side who will operate almost a diamond midfield, with Brown more advanced and N'Guemo the bottom of the diamond holding.

Our play will come up the wings from our star players McGeady and Maloney, and in the middle Brown will be fairly box to box and we'll have a lot of strength in that midfield.

So I put it that Killen and Fortune may be our best options up front if we're gonig to get a lot of by-line crosses, although I suspect a big-man little-man combo of McDonald poaching and Fortune/Killen doing the heading/holding up may feature.

Again this is taken from last nights evidence, which could all change in the next 10 or so matches.

What game were you at m8 donnati played well and Malloney and McGeady were pish but that was down to them playing on the wrong side of midfield..N'Gumeo was superb .Loovens looked more like McManus......Lee Naylor was just Lee Naylor and Fortune look's like a great bit of buisness (for Nancy).

Unless they were offensive, i don't think it would have been deliberate.

I was at the game and was dissapointed with Fortune, but im sure he will come good, we created a lot of chances to win that game but our finishing on the night was awful.. To be honest, Dinamo 15 games into there season, with that game plan to sneak a goal and sit back all night, It was always going to be difficult.. also given the fact mowbry has barely had time to scratch his * before being chucked into probabaly the nightmare of all Champion league qualifiers is a tad hrash, so im going to have to reserve judgment. There were some positives to take from the game and who knows, two goals over there and a draw will take us through you never know

If that is the case then whats the point in having a forum where we get to express our views? Do we just have to hope ours match whoever runs this thing? what a hoax
