Finishing let us down tonight....Overall for our first competitive match I thought we played well enough the goal aside. We got beat and face an uphill struggle in this tie. But I`m confident we will clean up domestically this season.

 

I don't think I'm going to be able to read this forum for the next couple of days without seething.

I'm as disappointed as the next guy but this is a new manager, a new team, with the first competitive game being a huge pressured tie against a capable moscow side halfway through their season!

It's the system thats flawed in my eyes (oh and Donati he is gash)

 

Bravo to the Russians, especially their manager. This is an excellent defensive showing they put. Their sturdy defense, against our paper-made one. I knew Mowbray was a bad choice.

 

where was the beautiful football mowbray was bringing, i know its 1st game of the season but it was so similar to last seasons bore, got alot f work to do over there its no where near over though all we needs a goal!

Will be tough over there now!! I still think we can do it , we can match 1-0 i am sure at least!! . . We were the better team overall and we had our chances!! Keep the faith!!

New season, new manager, fresh starts for all but the same old issues, cutting edge in the final third. This manager is attack minded and we could only muster one shot (at the keeper) in 45 minutes at home?

Its not good enough but between now and then, we'll have played a few more matches and hopefully the team will gel and we'll be ready to break our away hoodoo. Why not?

 

Yea, Skippy would have defo scored if he wasn't subbed and..the game was 4 hours long.

At least Samaras got into a great position with a strong header on target from a narrow angle.

 

lol the mowbray system. play it up the right wing, black it back, play it along the defence, play it up the left wing, play it back, vice versa. that was awful bhoys. at this point in time i cant even be bothered wi the europa parachute.

 

Celtic practically had 6 new players in there the the night if you include Killen and Doanti ,the russians are nearly have way through there season and some of the verbal in this thread is gash ,,what is the chant now ,bring back strachan ? get a grip.

 

strikers missfiren yet again same old. Team played class football at times tho.

 

its * bullshit that we have to play a qualifier against a team almost halfway
through their season, how unfair is that? they have a huge advantage over us.

Can't believe the negativity on here.....Ok, we got beat...* happens. It was Mowbrays first competitive game, same for the team. Dynamo have a settled side 15 games into their season playing a system they are used to. Their goal apart they did * all but get every man behind the ball for most of the game.

 

Lose in the 3rd round and we face a play-off to enter the Europa League.

 

Unfair? We had our pre-season matches which were good success, but tonight we were outplayed by much fitter and much more organised defensive-minded team.

 

boys i think we were unlucky, we played okay plus's was n'guemo was excellant, fortune played very well bar the missed chance that he should have scored. passed the ball well and maloney and mcgeady were good, overall dissapointed in the result but ive seen enough tonight to believe we can win away tie and are easily going to win the league under mogga, please before everyone starts slaying the manager this team is fully fit and half way through a season that beat us. i have 100% confidence we will have an excellant season with mowbray in charge and we need to get behind manager and squad, c'mon the hoops.
