All I see from these threads regarding the songs is seperation amongst our support. I've seen it first hand at games many a times and it's becoming frequently the case here too.

This is going to be a very interesting season.

So i assume the keyboard republicans on here and other forums ,will be out in force on sat 13/8/11 when the loyal orange order plan to parade past CELTIC park after the dundee utd game , 3 lodges have applied to parade and as yet the council and police have not banned it , So lets see all the diehard republicans turn out that day or is it all hot air they spout ????

I just fail to see how singing pro IRA chants inspires Hondurans, Greeks, Isrealis, Koreans, Swedes, Polish, ENGLISH etc... to go on to victory. Do you think they know? The club has moved on from the old poor irish immigrant days. It's a shame a select few can't see past this and move on, especially when the club has already asked for these songs to stop.

That will be disbanded for sure. And nah were going to stay quiet because we don't want to offend anyone by singing the offensive songs the club has been singing for years. Better just to lie down and behave ourselves so is that the BBC and other media groups don't publicise about us until they find something different to write about us.

Nothing in life is forever, therefore things change and I personally believe that the time is right to move on and cut-out the singing of pro-IRA songs at Celtic matches.

Rangers are currently under more pressure than ever before for continually singing banned sectarian songs, we in a sense are letting them of the hook if we continue to chant these pro-IRA songs, because they can simply turnround and say that these pro-IRA are offensive to them.

We are blessed with having some of the fastest wits in football following our great club, we're always first with new songs and tunes which others can only copy or follow, so we have plenty great songs and tunes to sing.

Celtic is a football club first and foremost, yes I think it's right that we should also continue to support charities that we were originally founded to do by Brother Walfrid, but we are not a political party and have no wish to be one.

Times are changing fellow Celtic supporters, time for us to take stock and leave it to rest to simply " Follow, follow ".

Do they boo when the English tyrant Hooper scores?
Do they *, it's all forgotten because politics has nothing to do with football!

This just plainly shows you have no idea what you are talking. Is Hooper part of the British Government? Army? No he's not he's a Celtic player. Gary Hooper is nothing to do with politics you mean.

The full fact of Celtic's founding was a political matter.

Or Just Can't Get Enough or You'll Never Walk Alone.

What have these songs got to do with football eh? I'm sure Gerry and the Pacemakers offend somecunt out there.

DFS competitors probably get offended by Just Can't Get Enough :56:

And are innocent people that the IRA blew to bits part of the government/army? Nope, just citizens in the wrong place at the wrong time.

    Yes they do.

Now, where in your preposterous post did Gary Hooper come into it?

If English poeple were so offended by what our 'dirty' fanbase signs - or at least that's probably how the Offended Brigade see us - how come Chris Sutton, Alan Thompson, Johhny Gould etc fall in love with the club and support....if you want to start throwing Englsih players' names into the mix?
