Reading over that I sounded a little harsh so let me adress what I was trying to say a little better. When I say I hate seeing people who have no clue shouting up the ra without knowing the seriousness of what they are doing and probably live normal day to day lives just * me off and have probably never been here.

Scum isnt the word but * is.

You didnt understand at all,

Pressure is being heaped on us by the hun FA and various media outfits for doing what is perfectly acceptable and that is singing irish songs basicaly its wrong and has nothing to do with scummy songs like the before mentioned but they are making it out like it is.

Edit: I'm going for a run now but one thing I will say these discussions are being talked about in a much better manner and tempermant without a certain fanatical * from edinburgh in here with his bullshit and head-wrecking smileys ugghh ha talk to ye's in a bit.

 I don’t have a problem with people who object to rebel songs on the basis they don’t find them that interesting, or that they feel much more enthusiasm with songs like JCGE.

That’s fine. That doesn’t make you any less of a Celtic fan.

What I have a problem with is brainwashed herd animal who mould their beliefs on what they read in tabloids.

BOTOB is not sectarian, it isn’t even offensive or distasteful. However, the point I made is that, if under new legislation it becomes prohibited, then that has to apply to all political songs – not just Irish ones.

If I see the Filth getting away with Father’s Advice, Build My Gallows and Derry’s Walls, then there will be no way I or indeed many other Celtic fans will be adhering to this law.

You cannot have one rule for one club and one for another. If this imbalance remains, then the law has no credibility.

I dont give a * what they think about us I give a * about the public perception of our club and myself.

I dont want people to think the only reason I support Celtic when I tell them I do is because I'm some neo-dissident * because they heard "Up the Ra" when they watched a match once.

The fact is the songs have been sung for a long time and are part of the tradition of a lot of supporters who go to the matches, they are not going to get us into trouble from Uefa and the arguments seem to be mostly from a small number of fans trying to appease the Scottish media.

I know it is support for the IRA, but it is part of a song that is very popular amongst fans! I also think it is more of support for the idea of a united Ireland than violence or terrorism.

 It is a disgrace that has even been alluded to by one of our own fans, there are no similarities and our songs are political and not about killing people.

 I sincerely doubt anyone would actually be that bothered by rebel songs were it not for a persistent media campaign which seeks to demonise or equate them with songs about the ethnic cleansing of Irish Catholics.

I’m not actually talking about the 'Oh ah up the RA' chant. I’m referring to BOTOB, Merry Ploughboy, Sean South of Garryowen etc.

I think everyone has a right to their opinion but no one should force their will on others. Let The People Sing, if you don't agree don't sing, wait til a song you agree with and then sing. It's not rocket science!

Well tough, you're going to hear them, they've been around for decades and if people so strongly about not hearing them, then maybe Celtic games aren't for them.

I have no problem with people not willing to sing them, and i respect their view, BUT, don't tell people to stop singing them, respect my views in them.

Come to games and drown out the vicious songs. If the majority didn't want songs about Irish heroes at Celtic Park then there wouldn't be.

If they weren't wanted they would be drowned out the minute we start singing them.

I only missed 4 competitive games last season.
